Keith is just an amazing guy -- he actually won the U.K. version of American Idol, but downplays it saying that those types of shows don't really mean as much over there as they do over here.

Is his Surname Semple?, if so, he was in a band called One True Voice....

The UK version (actually the original idea which SC took over to the states and started as American Idol) is called Pop Idol...Cannot recall anyone ever named Keith winning that...There are however other offshoot shows such as Popstars and Fame Academy, which are just slightly watered down versions of Pop Idol...If the guy's surname is Semple, the band he was in featured in Popstars the rivals (or something like that) alongside Girls Aloud, who are still going....unlike One True Voice who just seemed to vanish into thin air....
