I'll be there!!! We've got lawn tickets for the first time, just so we could get a bunch of people together. It's going to be a blast!

I'll be there. I was lucky enough to score a couple of box seats through a contact.

I'm looking forward to Journey, but I haven't seen Heart since the "Private Audition" tour in 1982 (their opening act was some guy named John Cougar Mellencamp, just as Jack and Diane was blowing up on the radio), so I'm very excited to see them.

Cheap Trick is always great (Zander is a great vocalist). Should be a great show!

Dude, you are going to be all over the place.

Prediction time: How many people are going to be at that Chicago show in September? It's a Friday night, and Def Leppard / Journey had 22,000 on a Wednesday night.

I'm saying there's going to be 27,000+

It's going to be killer.

It "officially" holds 28,000 but I believe that number to be closer to 33 or 34 thousand. My guess is probably about the same as yours. Somewhere right around 30k.

Chicago is a guaranteed sell-out. Even 5* is already gone. I thought they sold our Journey/DL?

Cose, but not a sellout. Probably about 5,000 short with DL.

You know I'm there, bud. I'll pm you my phone #. We have lawn seats, but I know some rockin' places to party after the show.
But around town, it was well known...when they got home at night
Their fat and psychopathic wives
Would thrash them within inches of their lives!

Yep, the official figure was a little over 22,000 - so just about 5,000 short. They are going to pack them in for this show. It's going to be insane. Might be the biggest crowd of the tour.

I'll bet ya one of them big marguatas. By the time this tour rolls around to Chicago, it's a lock. Bigger than Journey/DL :P

I probably won't be attending any pre-party because I'll be there with a bunch of other people. I will however be getting tore-up somewhere in the lawn seating section! If you guys want to hang out, PM me your numbers and I'll give you a call before the show!

That may be possible, but I won't ba able to get TOO crazy...I'll have my wife and 11 year old there! It's going to be his first concert, and I'm really excited for him. I don't know if he'll enjoy the music, but hopefully he'll enjoy the experience. The only thing he's ever seen show-wise, is me with various bands when I've played outside venues. Hopefully he'll have fun. I'll also have probably another 8-10 people there, so it should be a lot of fun. Just let me know if you want to get together though!

Anyone (SJ and several others) who wants to get together before, during, or after the show...Just PM me your cell phone numbers this week, so we can get together. I'm going!

Yep, I'll make the 25 minute drive to Verizon.

We're meeting some people there who want to 'get started' at 3 o'clock!!! I hope I actually make it into the Pavillion.

If you haven't been to a show this summer yet, a word of warning about Verizon (and probably all sheds)...the large beers are $11.

It was $11 in Dallas as well, but that was for a 24 oz. can. All in all, not too bad really!!! 8)

Another head's up. I was at Verizon 2 weeks ago for the Foreigner/Bryan Adams concert and noticed that the projection screens they have on the outside end of the shed (for the folks with lawn 'seats') are no longer there. Additionally, the large screens on the sides of the stage for the people in the back, but still under the roof are there but not working.

Long story short, unless you're in the front half of the shed, forget about seeing Neal or anyone else larger than ant size. If you're out on the lawn, drink a few more and kick back and enjoy the audio, that's about all you're gonna get, except of course watching the mass of humanity (the good, the bad and the butt ugly). :D

Well that sucks ass! :x I knew I should have just said the hell with going with a large group, and just bought front-row seats. Oh well, at least I'll be able to hear them. I talked to Scary Girl and SJ last night, and they're going to meet up before the show with us. It should still be an awesome night! DerriD, if you want to hook up with us, just let me know and PM me your number. Same with you Dan. Hope to see you all up there!

Jim,

I'm PMing SJ with my cell #. I live in Charlotte, so if you get lost call me for directions

We're meeting another family out at Verizon, so I'll be tailgating before the show. The folks we're meeting are early starters (they're planning on getting there at 3:00) I doubt I'll get there THAT early, but certainly well before Cheap Trick goes on.

When you (or anyone else) get out to the pavillion call me and we'll go from there. :D
