That's an insult to Bickler who's the best out the bunch.

That's why he's singing jingles now.

And Perry's singing for the White Sox.

And 13, Jamison was a far better talent than fucking Bickler. The order is Perry, Jamison, Bickler out of those 3. Bickler better than Perry...lol.

Bichler doesn't get any credit.

I think you are getting confused with between Bichler and Bickler. Now come to think of it wasn't the 'real men of genius' a campaign for Budweiser? And didn't Budweiser also do an advert featuring frogs - Busd-Weis-Er? Now I know where you get the inspiration for your artwork - beer! It's the only excuse really!

He is best known as a member of Survivor from 1977–1983 and 1993–2000. In addition to his wide vocal range he was noted for his distinctive image, resplendent with trademark beret. Bickler is also the voice behind the Real Men of Genius Bud Light TV and radio commercials. Bickler is a 1971 graduate of Benet Academy in Lisle, Illinois.

I know who Dave Bickler is.

I know what you mean about beer. The sight of your artwork starts a similar reflex in me but at least it promotes a response right?

I got hooked up with the two After Hours albums..

...the first album sounds similar to a path Journey may have taken in around 1989 had they remained together with the ROR lineup. Dude has a lot of Perryesque moments, and the guitarist apes Schon regularly! Drums sound just like Baird though. It wasn't a great album, but it was decent AOR, and I'll be spinning it again. I may skip the brutal cover of "Paint it Black" though... it just doesn't work as a pseudo-power metal song.

The second album, however, is a complete sonic clusterfuck.. they went everywhere, yet nowhere at the same time. This was most notable on the song "Goin' Surfin." Horrible lyrics, the singer sounded like Steve Perry bound and gagged in Friga's basement, bland chorus... and a random bad guitar solo that sounded so out of place... the music had NOTHING to do with surfing either... somewhere Brian Wilson dug himself a grave to roll around in after listening to this catastrophe.

I can hear it in the Bridge descending melody line the most - at mark 2:25. He repeats that line 4 times.
Also in how he lets go of the "OH!" at the end.

Great find; thanks!

Paint it Black and Goin' Surfin were the two songs I took an instant dislike to as well. There is definitely a lot of good material to be found on the After Hours releases though and that guy is a Stellar vocalist.

Hopefully the second album will grow on me more... but the first one is really nice. Surprised I haven't heard of these guys before now.

Thanks brah.

Here's some of my favorite Bickler moments...

"Ever Since the World Began"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ft_xMmdC ... re=related

"Children of The Night"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zl08yPMl ... re=related

And here's a couple of my favorite Jamison songs...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2O9yojhH ... re=related

"Oceans Between Us"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ZBgb1s3ywQ

Survivor has had some amazing songs with both singers. I really wish they would've searched harder for a repalcement for Jamison. Can't say that I'll EVER listen to them with their current singer. Not to sound too harsh, but I just think he sounds like ASS on the new songs!
The artist formerly known as Jim. :-)

No contest, Jamison sings with more soul/passion...........and that always wins out in my books. :)

I am really digging the first After Hours album and in just a few days have somehow managed to play it more than than Revelation! It's almost like a lost Steve Perry recording and if you remove 'Paint it Black' its a damn near perfect AOR album.

Thanks again to Vladen for the original post and heres some more tracks for those that want a sample -

Better Late Than Never -
https://www.yousendit.com/download/Q01I ... MEd4dnc9PQ

Another Lonely Night -
https://www.yousendit.com/download/Q01I ... eWJ2Wmc9PQ

Without You (the keyboard/piano part is eerily similar to Turn Down the World Tonight) -
https://www.yousendit.com/download/Q01I ... TWxFQlE9PQ

The second album veers in a slightly different direction and is a lot more rocky - sounds like Whitesnake. If anyone wants to hear the albums in full send me a pm...
