Get over yourself!!! You've lost all credibility with this nonsense.

There's no reason that he can't continue to do so just because she made a stupid joke. He did cut the crowd off when they started to boo her. He didn't have to do that.Barb wrote:nolippin wrote:Your words. It was shown to you that he did make the reference before. You still want to argue.
Sorry, lady, but you'd argue with a fence post. Go ahead. I know you need to have the last word. Here's your chance.

Case closed. He said it. If you criticize Obama for it, then McCain deserves just as much. So put a damned sock in it.
If BO used the reference prior to the Palin joke, no one would be connecting it to her. It would just be a stupid expression. Again, his audience caught on, so did everyone else. He blundered here, deal with it.
I stand by that. The only reason this is a problem for him is because the lipstick reference is now atttached to Sarah Palin. When he said it the first time, it wasn't. Look, I am willing to believe that he didn't choose those words intentionally, but as soon as the crowd erupted in laughter, it was obvious to him how it was being taken. If he was such a smart guy, he would have nipped this in the bud before it got out of control. He's obviously not used to the media pouincing on him.
Sorry, it's not just republicans who were offended. This is a man wanting to be the President of the United States who has been perceived as calling a woman a pig. A lot of women are pissed off and they are not all R's.
He could have swallowed his pride for 5 seconds and made a gracious gesture towards Palin and all women, but he didn't. Now he can live with it.
I promise, this is my last response to you on this because quite honestly, I can't take it!You are comparing apples to oranges here. At no point in time (let alone a week earlier) had Ms. Clinton made a joke about herself as a pittbull with lipstick or any other lipstick/animal reference. IF SHE HAD, then that would have been a poor choice of words for McCain as well.
