This is just plain wrong to sit here and speculate on how much Steve Perry is worth. In my opinion, some things should be kept in private. Although I think some of the earlier predictions are laughable and way off, I would be a hypocrite in furnishing my own opinion. Like I said, on a public board, this crap shouldn't be talked about.

Dude, no harm, but in the same vein, where's the respect? What would you say if I came on here and told all about my times with the Journey guys? It would cast them in perhaps not the finest light. Like I said, some things should remain private.

Now I can tell you Dan, your boy Springsteen was just valued at 125 million dollars (a printed source as himself revealing that number), so I would say your predictions are way off.

And stop with all the goddamned smiley faces, makes you look gay.

Right next to the Trial By Fire tour.
Lula wrote: What would you say if I came on here and told all about my times with the Journey guys?

Apples and oranges. You're comparing some fun speculation versus fact. Totally different.
Lula wrote:It would cast them in perhaps not the finest light. Like I said, some things should remain private.

To the group of us that tends to keep it all about the music it probably wouldn't make a damn bit of difference.

I'm sure Bruce spends his money. Perry's monthly expenses probably amount to kitty litter and Fancy Feast.

No one RESPECTS SP more than I do. I just thought it'd be fun to see what other people thought about his wealth.

I really don't see the harm either. Is it any different than speculating on how sick Arnel was? Nobody knew for sure.

I would think that a fan based forum would be the place to discuss both such things. Maybe I'm wrong.

I can only imagine that he sure wouldn't be dissapointed to find out that most people on here think he's worth 50-100 million dollars or even more(which I do). The comparison to Springteen isn't an accurate one. He's not known to have been a heavy investor in real estate as SP is.

I don't see why it's such a big deal. We're not searching thru his trashcan looking for old bank statements . I'd much rather speculate about the number of dollars he possibly have; than the number of hairs he has on his head which ever head it is.

Well, what are we debating here?

Perry's personal net worth?

Or are we assigning a dollar value to his voice, in the concept that measuring value-added to the recordings he's contributed to?

If it's the former, I agree with you Dean, in that it's wrong to discuss such a thing publically.

However, if it's the later...people are just speculating on whether or not someone's contributions to a band, recorded work or performance constitute a measurable value. That's fair game, as far as I'm concerned. In fact, I'd bet a testicle that there isn't a profitable record company that doesn't already have some sort of model to estimate just such a thing.

Perhaps I need to go read the OP and see what's being asked....

Ah, I just read the OP. OK....I'm with Deano on this one...it's simply not worth discussing. There are probably 2-3 people (not inlcuding IRS employees) in the world that have an accurate picture of Steve Perry's holdings....Perry, his accountant and his attorney.

They're both correct and acceptable.

Vocal cords, a term commonly used to refer to the vocal folds, is also spelled 'vocal chords', possibly due to the musical connotations or to confusion with the geometrical definition of the word "chord". While both spellings are historically correct, standard American spelling is 'vocal cords'. According to the Oxford English corpus, contemporary writers opt for vocal chords instead of vocal cords 49% of the time. The 'vocal chords' variant has long been accepted in the United Kingdom (along with other anatomical uses like 'spinal chord'). Even in the United States, both variants can be found from early on, and it was only later on that American writers settled on 'vocal cords' as the standard version.

Listen, with all due respect....and in a tone of seriousness...I've toned down my rhetoric regarding schon and cain. Well, not cain. That guy's still a gay ass fuckwad.

But seriously...I've laid off the alimony/divorce shite for months and if you run a search, you'll see that I've cut it out. So tito, take that, roll it into a tampon and stop the bleeding....

Dude, the guy played a double neck guitar in the early 80s for a reason....When Schon and Perry were stuffing their crotches with cucumbers for pictures, Cain was stuffing eggplants into his rectum.
