Why treat life as a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in an attractive & well-preserved body? Get there by skidding in sideways, a glass of wine in one hand, chocolate in the other, body totally worn out, screaming WOOHOO! What a ride!

God damn. That video gives me chills.
Watch at the 3:00 mark where's he's singing all sweet and then he just opens up and LETS IT FLY.

"So here we staaaa-aaaannnd sooooo paaaatientlyyyy....

.... FOR YOUR SONNNNG INSIIIII-IIII-IIIIIIII-IIIIDE OF MEEEEEEEE...."

I'm telling you, he's a fucking angel. 8)

I know, jaw-dropping ain't it!

That performance was my first exposure to Journey. My brother and I were watching the Midnight Special where they aired that clip. We both sat there in awe. I remember I went and bought Infinity the next day. It's thirty years later and I'm still in awe.

I am too.

The part that amazes me the most on that clip is, not only are his vocals stunning, they just seem to flow out of his pipes almost effortlessly!

Hey is it me, or is that one of the very few times (the Patiently video) where Perry actually walks around stage with the mic stand? I don't recall him doing that much at all. Not that it matters, just made me think.

My fave version Live version of Patiently is from the bootleg called, "messin' with the kid", a radio recording that doesn't seem to be on youtube :(. Love that one!
Here's another fave from the FTLOSM tour - IBAWY & Cupid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SxQsbaBp ... ed&search=
