No, no, no...all of that aside, he didn't seem coherent to some degree. Look at the youtube. He seems "out of it."annie89509 wrote:C'mon, give the guy a break. He was rusty ... hadn't sung for 3 yrs. Wasn't until '94 that he got back into the groove for FTLOSM.
He fucked up Faithfully, too. I don't remember him fucking up Lights. You sure you have the right song?Gunbot wrote:He sounded better doing DSB with the Sox, so rusty aint going to cut it as the only culprit. How do you forget the words to Lights, a song you've been singing for 10 years or more?

I think his performance was poor because he just didn't feel like part of the band.Gunbot wrote:Saint John wrote:He fucked up Faithfully, too. I don't remember him fucking up Lights. Didn't Herbie coach him on the song lyrics before he went on? He got through Lights but I was referring to him asking for help with the lyrics before he started, along with asking the guys to step down even though they hadn't practiced at that tempo ever. Neal and John probably struggled ,trying to find a comfortable tempo so not to let him embarrass himself. It obviously didn't work.

Andrew, this performance has been debated countless times. Why would you want to stoke this fire again?

Come on dude. This went on for a solid YEAR with Steve Augeri recordings, every single false note mocked for page after page.
There's nothing wrong w/ AJM posting this, I don't recall ever seeing him weigh in on it.
