OT: FRONTIERS BACK IN LOUISIANA THIS WEEK (HOB, etc)

Postby Jeremey » Mon Nov 17, 2008 11:48 am

As info, Frontiers is headlining at the House of Blues in New Orleans on Thursday night, and we'll be headlining at the Varsity Theatre in Baton Rouge the next night, Friday 11/21. These are both amazing venues, and while it's our first time at House of Blues New Orleans, I'm virtually guaranteeing a sell out at the Varsity.

All those in driving distance, take a chance on coming down to the show. You won't be disappointed!!

Just got back from our 18 hour drive from Baton Rouge. Thursday at House of Blues was amazing, a near sellout on our first time in the market (on a Thursday)...Really had a spiritual experience there with the crowd. The coolest thing was seeing the names of people like Eric Clapton, Aerosmith, and one of my favorites Terrence Trent D'arby on the walls in the green room backstage. It was our second time at The Varsity on Friday, and had just an amazing time with nearly 800 Journey fans. I've mentioned it before, but I have rarely (this week included) met anyone from the message boards at any of our shows, and I'd love to see some of you as we pick back up our touring after Thanksgiving. It may sound crazy, but I have a very spiritual philosophy about what I do, and involves a very intimate sharing one on one with each person who comes to our shows. I hope it doesn't sound too Carlos of me, but it's the truth. Each show that we do reminds me that we all have this ridiculous capacity to be connected through the music of this band, and in front of a computer monitor it just seems so sterile and clinical. May you all be as blessed, and have a great Thanksgiving this week.

I'm assuming you're in your mid 30's or older Jeremey, how dou keep your voice from blowing out? I can't imagine you go for hours barely talking like Perry, especially with a baby in the house.

yes. February...Nothing firm yet, just some holds. But why not drive down to Pittsburgh next Friday? The Altar Bar is AMAZING! Not quite the HOB, but a VERY unique venue. No shit, last time we had about 40 people at that show from Cleveland.

Damn, you know what, I just might have to! I'm up at school in Northwestern PA, I'm sure I could get there in under 2 hours. I'm gonna plan on it actually, provided the snow is reasonable. My car hasn't been doin too well in the snow so far :/

Oh, and think you might sneak "Can't You See He's Gone" or any other originals into the set?

I haven't even been able to walk up to my car without being shin-deep in snow since Thursday afternoon. Pittsburgh probably doesn't get hit as bad, I'm in the heart of the snow belt up here... it's amazing, it can be snowing like hell up here and if you can at least make it 30 miles south you might be in completely clear waters... but ya never know.

And I'll get to meet both of you'uns. Hope it's on a Saturday night. Dallas is a 6 hr. drive, depending on traffic.
