Background questions for you for some of us who don't know the real Jeremey (the life story if you will):
Where did you grow up and go to college at? What type of career did you have before the singing career? When did you start the original Frontiers band and how did that get started?

Journey related question:
In your educated opinion since you were around the band for awhile, who do you think Schon, Cain, Valory, and Castronovo voted for in the Presidential election? McCain, Obama, third party, or not voting/don't even know who the President of the U.S. is?

You got off to a good start and then...........................you bombed

You talkin' about the last part? I would like to know if they're tree huggers, don't care about politics, or rightwingers.

I've met him, and I think he is nice. I won't judge what happened. None of us were there, and no one knows for sure who did what to who. That is my way of looking at it. Your entitled to your oppinion, and I respect that. But all I have ever heard anyone say when they meet him is what a nice guy he is. I finally got that chance and he impressed me with his kindness. That was my take on the man. :D

Sounds good to me. I've never met him, have no idea to know what he's really like. But I mean shit, honestly, even if he was a homicidal maniac and made the same music... I'd still listen to it.

I've heard enough and read enough to know Don Henley's a complete fuckin prick, but that doesn't matter. Fucker makes great music.

I understand where you are coming from. :D I find it is easy to find falt on the outside of things, it is much harder to be on the inside. I was more refering to some other responses, not so much yours. But as I said, everyone is entitled to their take on things! :D He and his wife have been nothing but super kind to me. My husband was a bit of a Journey fan before the concert, but after meeting him, he was impressed by his manner. I usually spot a fake right off, he was quite genuine in his actions. :D

I'm new to Melodic Rock and had not really kept up with Journey post-Perry, so I
wasn't aware of everything that had happened until recently.

I've made up for lost time quickly, though I wish I hadn't bought 'Generations' (luckily
I bought 'Arrival' first) and after this thread, I went on YouTube to listen to
Jeremey sing with Frontiers.

Wow - Jeremey, you are an absolutely amazing singer and frontman! I wish Arnel the best, but you
really would have rocked Journey and your song is the best one on 'Revelation' - Neal
made a bad play. I'm looking forward to your CD and hope you tour Canada (or at
least as far north as Seattle!).

If you couldn't detect a bit of a tongue-in-cheek flair to my post, I can't help you.

However, just to clarify, let me put on my serious hat for a second. Jon Friga might have been a good guy in front of Jeremey. He might have been a good guy to Tito (but I'll submit, Friga could have given Tito a proctal exam with a glue covered fist dipped in broken glass, and Tito would love him for it)....he might be one of th better family men in Journey. I'll submit, when you compare Friga to Neal "mr family values" Schon, Fro makes Friga look like dad of the year....hell, Fro would make Alec Baldwin look like dad of the year.

...but I still think that he has conducted himself in the music business (and there's sufficient evidence to support such a claim) with pure disdain. He's climbed the ladder on knive handles sticking out of the backs of people he stepped on to get where he is.

I don't know about you, but I'm not able to disconnect my ethics with a switch when I walk into the office....and it's a hell of alot easier to exist ethicless, but turn on a 'good guy' switch once in a while...than to be have ethics...and lose them once in a blue moon when you dont need them. It goes against the very defining aspect of ethics.

As far as whether or not you care if Friga or anyone else you listen to is a good or bad person?...this is a question that has been debated here since long before you (and even I) have been posters. If you can disconnect your disdain for the person from your love of the music, to protect your love of the music. Mooooore power to ya.

Personally, I can do it to an extent....but I'll submit that it's hard for me to enjoy listening to someone I know has stabbled others in the back (and even harder knowing that he did the stabbing so that he can be playing on my CD player instead of someone else)....but what seals the deal, is knowing there are good musicians out there, that appreciate my support as a fan and appreciate my contributions to their pockets, as I purchase their music. I make a conscious decision to support those musicians....

I'm not on here every day bashing Friga and Fro...well, Fro deserves it....but come on...Tito's vag flapping about how Friga is the bastion of goodness is nauseating......there needs to be some checks and balances here...

You, have pretty much put a light to some things I have wondered about concerning Jon Cain for a long time; before he joined the band they seemed per photo evidence, to have been a happier band, after he joined Perry looked so angry in some photos I thought his head was gonna blow right off his shoulders, Jon looked sneaky (it's in the eyes) the camera can catch what the human eye can't at times.Neal looked like he didn't know if he wanted to scratch his head and make a stand or grab his hat and run like hell, sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words, Check out the GMA interview 1986 concerning the ROR tour, the non verbal body language tell alot about the true status of their relationship at that time. Now if you look at the photos down thru the years you can almost see when things started changing, The eyes are truly the window to ones soul and the camera don't lie about what it captures. What's in the heart and soul at the time a picture is taken will show up in that photo no matter how hard a person try to pretend it isn't so. I for one won't disagree with you at all.

The Jon Cain era ushered in Open Arms, their biggest chart hit ever, and Don't Stop Believin', the most downloaded song of all-time and the song with the most recognizable keyboard riff in rock and roll history.

I'm not on here every day bashing Friga and Fro...well, Fro deserves it....but come on...Tito's vag flapping about how Friga is the bastion of goodness is nauseating......there needs to be some checks and balances here...

Why? So more stand up guys like JSS can get pink slips from singers of other bands in other countries?

The guy's trash and you know it. He's a yeast infected cod piss twinkle toed cross dresser that would make a greasy lawyer eat dog shit out of his shoe for a day to escape the stink of friga's vag....

lay down the crack pipe tito. friga's not a good man....he just plays one when there is a camera present...

Who fuckin cares what he's like. The man is a musician who makes music I enjoy. I don't care what else he does or doesn't do.

I was also bein a bit tongue-in-cheek, but like you I was also making my point. It's an entertainment business. Like other businesses, people get fucked over, people do unsavory things. Gotta look out for #1.

Like other entertainers like athletes and actors, musicians tend to have big to ridiculously oversized egos. Tons of em are dicks, some of em are just weirder than shit for whatever reason (Joe Walsh), some are both (Robert Fripp of King Crimson). It ain't gonna stop me from enjoying/appreciating their talent any more than it's gonna stop me from marveling at Manny Ramirez's hitting. If it makes it hard for you to enjoy Cain or Musician X's music that you previously enjoyed... well, that kinda sucks for you I guess. To each his own though.

I agree with you it's also a lot easier to put your "best face" on here and there rather than keep some standards of human decency... I've always just figured being honest is the best way to go. Even about seemingly little, insignificant things.

It's not like I think it's cool for shit like the JSS thing to pan out, but it's silly how people on here act like Cain and Neal are the worst people in the music biz. Look at Henley and Frey, Azoff, or Stan Polley, the Badfinger manager, for just a few examples. Like every other business, lots of dickheads. Like every other story, there's many sides.

I can't really touch the Soto stuff or I'll get tossed from here but I don't blame Cain for that. We only know one side of that story too. Not to mention, it was the correct decision.

Cain is a good man. I never heard anyone say anything bad about him except for diehard Soto fans. Those 8 people are entitled to their opinions though.

I wouldn't let him do that to me. And he wouldn't do it either.

Regardless of Neal's parenting skills and I think he's done ok as evidence by a Miles Schon, Jon Cain is a wonderful family man. I bet when he's on the road after a show, he goes up to his room and watches the Golf Channel and falls asleep. If he's guilty of anything, he may be too boring for some. But, I don't think he is.

What evidence? He has conducted himself as good as anybody and he is a survivor of this nasty business.

Like who? Who has he stabbed in the back. I want names.

The hell you're not. Just look at your sig for starters. Plus, I came on MR in the first because of all the bashing Cain, Schon, and Journey took. I'm the one doing the balancing.

Good day.
