True - people get more attention from being nasty than if they write something positive.
I'll bet none of the authors of this article are getting any backstage passes to concerts though!
I think you're taking this
WAY too seriously! If it's not humor, then why did I laugh so hard I had soda coming out my nose???? The prime element that makes a thing "funny" is truth...and there's
alot of truth in that article, imho!
But hey...you say "potato"...
Nah, I just think it's over the top. I know it's
meant to be funny but it came across to me as merely
puerile and crass. If you found a lot of truth to it, I believe you, because I'm sure you are much more
familiar with most of those songs. Once I find BS, it calls into question for me that there is any validity to it mixed
with the "humour". (Edit: I forgot to add that I love 'Faithfully' and virtually all of Neal Schon's guitar playing,
so those critics can collectively kiss my ass! I believe that has the correct tone!

)
On a sidenote, you guys are guitar players, so if someone calls a solo a "wankfest"
how would you describe that? And yes, I know what a wanker is - so I'm guessing repetitive?
