Wow, that guy sounds so much like Phil however the band sounds original. It's obvious that they pay some homage to their influences. Dig that song big time.. Thanks for the turn on. Now one for you. I have no links but check out a band called DADA..

Shit - just discovered they're Canadian so I doubt they will be back for a while. Unless Anvil tour on the back of their movie and they get the support slot!

Speaking of Bristol academy, theres another new band,( highly rated by Classic Rock Magazine) , GasLight Anthem playing there 5 February .
Theyre not melodic rock, instead a wierd cross between The Replacements an Bruce Springsteen, but Im quite digging their first album. Worth checking out. Ill be down there.

NOW I'm getting homesick!  I wonder if the Bristol Backpackers is still such a dive? Spent far too many nights there because the gig we'd gone to see finished after the last train back to Cardiff had left.
Why treat life as a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in an attractive & well-preserved body? Get there by skidding in sideways, a glass of wine in one hand, chocolate in the other, body totally worn out, screaming WOOHOO! What a ride!

No, Adelaide girl born and raised, Cardiff bred and spent my disolute 20s there... and far too many weekends in Bristol raising merry hell and paying for it come Sunday.
Snakebite... ugh! <<shudders at the memory>>

Agreed! I've been YouTubing most of last night, and decided I'm going CD hunting Monday.

Image Ow are you then, petal?

And as my Swansea-girl best mate used to say, "how many yers have yer yers been pierced?"

One of my favourite Welsh jokes ever - two old mams are gossiping in the street, and one asks the other:
"Ave you errd? The Joneses girl is getting married."
"Is she pregnant then?"
"No."
"Diu, well there's posh!"

 Don't suppose you get a comedy called Gavin & Stacey over there? You would love it. Ask your Swansea mate about it.

Listening to this album now and lovin' it. Thanks for the thread. My ears deceive me, sounds like great new Lizzy!

Would love for these guys to open (or headline) with Journey. They'd have to play some TL covers for sure.
