The walk of fame honorees have done something other than sing on one record and take one 2 month spin around the USA. I think that's what most people were saying here. A statue seems highly overboard in proportion to what he's done, that's all.

Thank you. That was going to be my other point. Its hardly comparable because they're not really being "honored" as much as they are being allowed to allow us to honor them.

True. 'Tho some deserve the honor and some not so much. lol. I can understand maybe some think the AP statue is overkill, but it wasn't his doing. I tend to think all the AWARD shows we have here are overkill...People's award, SAG awards, Foreign press Golden Globes (never understood about the Foreign Press?!), Emmy, Daytime Emmy, Grammy, CMA, Tony, etc. and how many more that aren't televised.
