World Wide Live - Scorpions
Rush in Rio - Rush

All outstanding live albums that have stood the test of time. It probably couldn't be considered because it is so new, but I'd add 'Snakes & Arrows Live' by Rush too. The sound quality is the best I've ever heard on a live album and the BlueRay DVD version is out of this world.

Excellent list, Marty!

I'd add:

CHEAP TRICK AT BUDOKAN
KISS ALIVE
SPRINGSTEEN- 1975-1985

Yeah, that 1975-1985 Live three disc set is untouchable, but it is obviously not the same show. I should have went with Live in NYC. I love Captured dude, but it isn't as good as those IMO. Why not Houston 81? Too overdubbed?

You catch Clint's look when Springsteen won the best song of the year award last Sunday? Priceless. Those two are at opposite ends of the spectrum, and Bruce said "this will be the only thing I beat Clint Eastwood at." laugh laugh..Clint was laughing but I bet he was pissed!

Dude. Play Richrath's "Golden Country" solo off "You Get What You Play For" loud enough and it'd melt your Bruce discs!!! That 3 minutes alone makes it the best!!!

It is amazing that Springsteen's so good that he has a live boxset out I mean come.
And that thing is incredible.

Meh, the backing vocals are overdubbed on both Houston '81 and Captured. Kinda ruins it for me, especially on Captured where it's so blatant.

Deep Purple - Made In Japan. Go listen to it. Kicks Fuckin Ass. Incredibly passionate music making. Blackmore kicking butt, Gillian screaming/singing his ass off. Rest of the band charging ahead like a freight train. Great powerful recording for it's time.
