Now she's calling me "Prog" all the time, and if we argue or something she'll say "what are you gonna do, get your boy Rockin' Deano on me? huh? where's Rip Rokken now?" and whenever I share musical trivia she'll say "thanks, Prog" and such... ha.

it's spreading. she calls me Prog all the time. my friends are picking up on it too and before long "Prog" will replace my real name.

pfft.

she's a keeper though. she watched the new Rush DVD with me, and liked most of it. :)

Just don't let her take Proggie~pooh.....that's mine!!!

So sweet!!!

Wow T, you must have worked pretty hard to earn that name.

Oddly, I haven't worked that hard...........

Well you should start now, more specifically on a 6ft deep hole in the backyard. Don't forget to add some rose soil on top when you're done.
Just tell the old lady you're working on a special garden, just for her.

I wish! Don't get me started on the metric system either. I've got lots of american friends and hate having to convert celsius to farenheit, kilometers to miles, liters to gallons, for frig sakes we should all be the same.  Actually, isn't more of the world metric, than not? :?

It's screwy because some things I learned in Imperial and others in Metric, so I still have to convert some
measurements for myself! But sciences are taught and worked in the metric system globally, so it makes
sense to use it and it's a better system anyway - who bases a measurement on 16ths of anything :??

She better agree to December 21st. (Rush Day)

There's a "Rush Day"?

yeah, the date (December 21ist) is often written as 21/12 in many civilized parts of the world...

Fixed it for you

Fixed it for you.

I speak and spell English not American. Take back your unwanted zed please, and leave us civillised people to our correct spelling, thank you.

Me too - the worst one is temperature - I relate to warmer temperatures in Farenheit (68 to 100F) but colder ones
in Celsius (-20 to 10C) Image

Me three! But the one I've never quite grasped or bothered with is weight - to this day it's much easier for me to think of pounds vs kilos (every Thanksgiving and Christmas we need to look on the 'net to see how big our turkey is  ).

Hey Triple S, how are you doing? I hope your arm is healing quickly. It's so icy right now that quite a few people
around here have slipped and fallen. We're all counting the days until Spring!

It's feeling a little better this week, thanks - only 4 more weeks or so in the cast! Just takes so damn long to do everything, both at work and home  . And yes, still very icy here too, only had about one day of meliting (the day I fell  ). I see they're forecasting 5-10 cm of snow (there's that metric again) for Tuesday, hope that's wrong or I'll really be stuck!
