Boy these guys plan on hanging around a long time. Neal will be 70. He'll break into "Juke Box Hero" in the middle of the show because he can't remember which AOR band he was in.

Neal, are you lurking? If so, how could you put up a new fansite that has spelling errors throughout in this day and age of spellcheck? If your girlfriend is responsible for this, you might want to spare a few bucks to have a professional comb over this and make the text content grammatically correct. Just a thought. 8)

I would guess cause every so often they want to get some sort of feedback from people in regards to something they are or aren't doing. So basically it's very convenient souce of ambiguous information....simply type in "Faithfully" for an example and then they can read up and get a feel for what people are saying about it. Helps them perhaps determine what their next moves, changes, modifications, and/or focuses may be. Back before the internet and all the forums, I heard somewhere that Bon Jovi got an entire audience of youth together and played various pre-recorded songs for them and then gauged how the audience liked each song and why. In turn, they compiled that information and used it to figure out what they would/would not do, modify, change, strong points/weak points, focus areas, etc. on their next album. It's all about a marketing platform. Forums are a wealth of information in that aspect and a very convenient and effective way extracting crutial information in those regards.

A 10 second glance netted me such gems as "Neal Schon was born at an Air Force Base near Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. his family soon after moved to Jersey" Just Jersey? Are we speaking street slang now? New Jersey? Jersey, in the U.K.?

And Ross' bio states: "Ross valory was born Feruary 2nd in hometown..." Feruary eh? Must be a new month I never heard of. Proofreading is essential when the world is your audience.[/b]

Did anyone see the Journey Player? Not only is the album listed as "Revelations" but Never Walk Away is listed as "Never Walk Again" There's typos and capitalization doesn't seem to be a big deal either. I'm not a Journey hater in the least, but the new site blows.

Which could all indicate perhaps that the site in question is more then likely being run from outside the U.S. Maybe they outsouced it to another country like most everything else around here.

OMG, I too cannot believe the number of grammatical, spelling, capitalization and punctuation errors on the members' bios alone. My God, "Ozzy Osborne"? How could anyone get something as simple as that wrong? Even the link for errors reads "Techinical Issues?".

The site doesn't appear to be outsourced out of the US. Neal's GF designed it, and it's run by an outfit out of Washington state.

The other Social Network sites that Superstar Media run seem to have the same grammar issues so it's not just this one site.

There was a time when the official site had links to Steve Smith. Was this a Journey decision or Smith's?

Like BJG, I am put off at the album descriptions (especially ROR). Get over it already dang! With the pics, at least they put up some old ones and didn't try to leave out the past altogether.

I don't know why it's such a big problem... it's all factual and it all happened, right? Maybe not the most tactful way of doing things, but hey...

Ok, THAT is pretty freakin' BAD. You got ONE current thing to promote, the one thing you want to draw peoples' attention to, I'm thinking you ought to go out of your way to make sure the titles are accurate. That's just PATHETIC!!

Yeah, that is absolutely inexcusable. Plus, it says that the band will be returning to Japan for the first time since 1998. I know for a fact that they played some Japanese shows in early 2001 before the Arrival Tour kicked off in the US. Get the damn facts right.

You know, the more you become an apologist for the band the more we're going to fuck with you, right? It's just our way of showing affection.

Give it two days and everyone around here will be deleting that site from their favorites anyway. Once AA (Arnel's Army) gets done moving in, people will start bailing from there, left and right.

Edited for political fucking correctness.

Wow. That has to be one of the most embarrassing things I've ever seen. Obviously there is no management of this band, as one would assume that management approved each and every public information release. Or does management not know how to capitalize, punctuate, spell, or fact-check?

And they PAID someone for this!!! Geezus krist!

Epic Fuckin' Fail. Somebody put this up on failblog.org!!!

This needs to be on that F My Life site that T-Bone posted...

"Today I launched a website for my new client, a rock band, and after it went live, a bunch of message board people tore it to shreds because we didn't fact check, grammar check, or spell check, and we got their album title and song titles wrong. FML."
