I'd venture to guess that Greeks probably own as many restaurants in the U.S. as anyone, so don't go to the "cuisine" argument, pumpkin. Irish cuisine is about as tasty as Borat's dingleberry-ridden, sun dried ass hairs.

DSB, Celtic style

Postby faithw » Wed Mar 18, 2009 11:20 am

Happy St. Patricks's Day everyone!

Greg Kihn's show had a group by the name of Cele De on this morning and they did a Celtic version of DSB. It was a fun listen. =)

This is where he talks about the group: http://www.kfox.com/pages/kihnpage.html

Here is their MySpace page(third song down) where you can listen to the performance: http://www.myspace.com/celede

Well, you DO have a point there....

I went to Ireland, and:

1. Their "National Cuisine" is NOT Corned Beef & Cabbage.

2. Less than 10% of the population is red-haired w/ tons of freckles; the majority of people look dark, like Colin Farrell.
The red-haired thing was a Tourist Ploy.

3. However, the Northern Ireland Resistance is something to be respected. They held their ground against the English.
Oh, and I'm also part English.

Mmm, while I respect their desire for independent rule, I don't like the way they went about it, or the hypocrisy of the Americans paying for it. Being four blocks from an IRA bomb going off was not one of my life's highlights.
Why treat life as a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in an attractive & well-preserved body? Get there by skidding in sideways, a glass of wine in one hand, chocolate in the other, body totally worn out, screaming WOOHOO! What a ride!
