Anybody going to the Journey Boston show?

Postby JourneyTroll » Tue May 24, 2005 1:39 am

I have my tickets in Section 2, and I hope they don't play for 3.5 hours. Just give me all the classics please.

We really should meet again, Joe. It's been too long, and I have nothing to hide just like you. Were you able to get decent seats?

Wow, that's great. You must have received a promotion at the Herald. Good for you.

Dude, don't bullshit us.. You hate Journey, and you said before MANY TIMES, you could care less if Journey played Boston. And you don't want 3.5 hours? You are a retard...

Yet, you are the one that can't express himself without swearing or using personal attacks.

No, I don't want to see Journey in concert for 3.5 hours. What a boring concert except for the hard-core Journey fans. I sold my outstanding seats for Journey in Boston, and I am thrilled with my decision! :P

I know I am new to the board. But I am at least here for the right reasons because I love Journey.

I can not see why anyone who clearly dislikes Journey as much as Journeytroll does would spend so much time here.

It would be like me going on a Soundgarden or Anthrax message board. The thought would never even cross my mind, I have no interest in what they are doing or what their fans think.

Why don't you pick a band you do actually like and chat about them.

I wasn't on this board for over a month. Just because I am not going to see Journey this year doesn't mean I don't want to discuss their many flaws.

I'll have to bite too..

I'm not going to see Journey this year either. (not by choice, simply no one ever tours the UK). I'm not going to see U2 this year either but I'm going to spend my time on a U2 message board talking about their many flaws.

I wouldn't waste my time coming here every day if I didn't like what Journey are currently doing. Which from the soundbytes I've heard is great.

Plus real Journey fans that already have the cd(Deano) Have already rated it as in his top 3 journey albums which is good enough for me looking at how he has rated the rest of the Journey albums he certainly knows what he's talking about.

I for one can not wait to recieve my copy of the new cd, and to see journey live. If they ever do come to this country whether it be for 3.5 hours 1.5 hours, or however long they feel fit to play for.

I come here every day to get updates and reviews from the real fans and to discuss Journey with the people who actually have something constructive and interesting to say.

There and no swearing at all..

Deano is a hardcore fan of Journey. You should make your own decisions about Journey.

Makes sense to me. If a Journey fan rates all of Journey's CDs, and you agree for the most part, then you can surmise that you will agree with that Journey fan's rating of a CD that you have not heard yet.

Mamos, I am sorry that you will not be able to see the tour this year. There has been a lot of talk and effort about Journey getting over to the UK and it seems that Neal is very kind to the idea. It seems to be a serious possibility for next year.

As for "Generations"...at least you WILL be able to get that next month. Remember that if you pre-order through www.frontiers.it (along with another CD) you will get your order between the last week of July to the first week of August. Not too bad a wait...and well worth it!

Also, the Japanese release seems to be a couple of days sooner and has BOTH bonus tracks on it.

Keep the faith Mamos..My bet is they get there next year, being that Soul Sirkus was very well received, and the buzz over there is they want Journey bad..

This may be the time to do a Journey headline, and SS open tour(over there).
Thanks for the kind words mamos.

By the way, I could rate the albums, and there really aren't any that are pure crap, but there are some that are so so..

Trial by Fire..great for candlelight dinners if you exclude a couple rockers.
Red 13, IMO, very average
Raised on Radio, They HAD to put that out, contractually I believe. The darkest hour of Journey. I wish that "effort" were laid to rest.

Generations is no doubt top 3, maybe tops period. It's been awhile since I heard Escape/Frontiers, but if this CD were to ever get on the radio, there would be 4 minimum hits; minimum..

I have already pre ordered and am looking forward to getting my copy. Can't wait.

As for the live possibilities I am constantly hoping.

And Troll. I always make up my mind but as stated I agree in the main with Deano's ratings so I think it's a pretty fair bet that I will also agree about Generations. Taking into consideration I like all the soundbytes to one degree or another.
