Well, Deano, a power play is the result of some sort of rule infraction. You know, like trying to gouge a guys eye out the the butt-end of your hockey stick, or swinging your stick like an axe at someones head, and a bunch of other little things I won't even get into. The point is, the power play doesn't even come into effect until after an infraction. At least that's my understanding, but I'm just a chick, what do I know??
