I feel like I did when two mutual friends of mine who happen to not get along with one another (ironically, former members of Escape - my version BEFORE Jason came along) decided to have a pissing contest on my FaceBook page.......

It sounds like Jason still has it for the later Journey material! I can't wait to here what he sounds like on the earlier stuff too. I'm sure he will sound great on the older material too. Thanks for posting it.

IMHO, he REALLY excels on the earlier stuff. We have been doing the "standards" (DSB, SW, Stone, Lights/Stay, Feelin'/Any, etc.) as part of our Eclipse show, and just added these later tunes (relative to SP, of course) in the past couple of weeks.

We are really just getting this project off the ground. More details on that in a week or so. We are looking into options for a studio demo and then we will proceed down the "non-local gig" path.

GI Jim is in the wrong here, and BOTH his posts baiting Jeremey need to be deleted... they don't belong on what WAS a great thread.

I am going to add a timeline of events to clarify one point discussed above.
May 11, 2007 Frontiers played a private party in Northern Virginia. I/we were informed sometime before we played that JSS would show up.
May 12, 2007, in the morning we were notified of a band meeting before we departed to Cleveland and we were notified that Cain had called on the 8th of May.
May 17, 2007, Cain and Schon show up in Charlotte to watch Frontiers.

There is more to this story but it is not my story to tell. I know the information is true because I a part of the discussions.

I was standing in Vader's yard when Soto showed up and Jeremey looked stunned when he saw Soto. What that means I have no idea. Personally, it looked like he didn't know he was coming, but that's just what I think. Jeremey was fucked either way if he was talking to Journey. What do you do? Tell Soto and break Journey's trust, and take a chance at blowing the gig of a lifetime or keep your mouth shut and play the gig? I would have done what he did and kept my mouth shut. This is, of course, assuming he was talking to Journey.

As for Jason vs. Jeremey I'll say this...I've seen them both and they're two entirely different singers. Jason has Jeremey in "raw talent", but Jeremey is the much more polished singer and you can tell he's had professional training. With equivalent training Jason could probably surge past him, but right now they're virtually equal. They're 2 great fucking singers in kick ass bands doing what most of us would have our genitals smashed with a rusty hammer to be able to do. I respect the shit out of both bands. I talked to Jason briefly and I can say that there's not a more humble guy on the entire planet. I've also heard about Jeremey being extremely kind to people from this board that make the trek to Frontiers' shows. I'll be seeing both bands this summer. Jim, I'll kick Jeremey in the nuts for you.
