Kajagoogoo announce British tour

1980s pop group Kajagoogoo are to re-form and will stage the first UK tour with their original line-up in more than 25 years, they have announced.

The band, fronted by singer Limahl - famed for his mullet hairstyle - had hits in the early 1980s with songs including Ooh To Be Ah and Big Apple.

They split months after their biggest hit, Too Shy, went to number one.

Limahl, 50 - real name Christopher Hamill - said it had "taken 25 years to grow up". The tour begins in September.

Hamill left the band in 1983 and was replaced as lead singer by bass guitarist Nick Beggs.

The original five-piece line-up briefly re-formed for VH1's Bands Reunited programme in 2004.

As a follow on this news story only three people in the UK care about this.

1- the dude who wrote this story. and he lost interest as soon as he sent if off to his editor
2- Limahl himself
3- some guy held on remand in HMS Wormwood Scrubs prison who read the article and decided that by chanting Kajagoogoo over and over again, pissing on himself, and drooling, he will get classed as insane and get off murder one charges.

no one else gives as flying rats ass..... :D

KAJAGOOGOO IS posting this statement on fanasylum.com for it’s the only site KAJAGOOGOO postS KAJAGOOGOO'S official statements.

Today KAJAGOOGOO was made aware that there was an attempt to perpetrate a hoax on OUR most KAJAGOOGOOEY fans.

It has been brought to my attention that there was an announcement of a TOUR that KAJAGOOGOO was supposedly to perform at in BRITAIN.

This is absolutely a hoax and should be treated as such.

It has also been brought to my attention that several news sites are reporting that KAJAGOOGOO management had cancelled[SP] (UM WHY CAN'T THE PEOPLE AT FAN ASYLUM USE A SPELLCHECKER??) the supposed performanceS. There were never any plans for any such performanceS made by KAJAGOOGOO or anyone authorized by KAJAGOOGOO. This is the first KAJAGOOGOO have heard of this.

I’m only posting this out of concern for my KAJAGOOGOOEY fans. (UM, DIDN'T WE SAY THAT ABOVE??... NEVER MIND...!)

KAJAGOOGOO encourageS all news sites to post this statement IF FOR NOTHING ELSE, TO KEEP KAJAGOOGOO'S NAME OUT THERE, with the hope it will clarify the confusion brought about by this hoax.
