OT: Phenomena II

Anyone have this disc from 1986? Another song I can thank Carla from Chile for, and I can't believe as a major ASIA fan I never heard of this. Apparently the album is a project featuring different vocalists, and this one is a very ASIA-worth song with John Wetton on lead vocals -- I read it went to #1 in South America. If you like ASIA, you have to dig this one:

Oh, these were movie soundtracks? I didn't realize that, and just thought they were musical projects.

I just realized the extra happy looking dude singing backup vocals was Max Bacon, and it turns out it's actually a woman's voice he was singing over in the video. That threw me off, and I figured he was some Kajagoogoo type dude.

You thought it was Limahl, huh?

Catchy song. I saw Wetton solo twelve years ago and he rocked the house. I'm a longtime fan of King Crimson and U.K. and Asia's first three (Alpha, not so much). Most of John's solo albums aren't too jammin' but he killed in Crimson & U.K.

Haha... Well, he just has this really, umm... "peppy" little smile every time he sings his backup line, and I wonder it he wasn't laughing because he knew he was lipsynching to a chick's vocals. Max has a great voice, and I loved his stuff with GTR. Speaking of GTR, John Payne's version of ASIA re-recorded their song "The Hunter" for their Anthology disc. The circles those artists ran in always seemed to cross at some point.
