You can be over 12 and still believe that the Triangle is indeed odd. It doesnt have to have anything to do with Aliens or the Ghost you know. More to do with the Earths magnetism. So fuck you.

You knew I was implying that people would equate the Bermuda Triangle to aliens and such. I guess you just wanted to impress us with that steller British education of yours, in which case, saying "Fuck You" totaly defeated the purpose.

Not the magnetism part. Those of us that read up on the subject instead of just relying on the books of Charles Berlitz and old episodes of "In Search Of" would know of what you speak, but most of the American public would gladly setle for the UFO explanation. According to a survey done a few years ago, almost as many Americans believe in flying saucers as do people believing in God.

I believe in life forms on other planets but I don't believe they have contacted us here or if they did come to this planet, would be anything that we could even recognize as being vaguely humanoid.

Almost 60 brazilians died on this plane. It's a sad day for us, and of course for all the countries envolved, especially France.

I was at the Rio de Janeiro's airport last night, waiting for my wife. She was on a domestic flight and arrived around 7 pm...at the same time the Air France airbus' departure. I wish all the families would have the same luck. My prayers goes out to the families and friends.

That must be an eerie feeling. Glad your wife arrived safe and sound. Yes, thoughts and prayers go out to all the families and friends of those on board the missing plane.

Yeah, this is really shitty bad news to read about. When I first started flying across the Pacific back in the 80's, I'd start having nightmares about crashing in the ocean starting about a week before the scheduled flight. Since then since I've flown across it so much, including 3 times to Japan in the last 11 months alone in the last half of 2008 and first part of 2009, I have sort of getten over the weeklong nightmares before the flight deal. But still, I always think about it happening before the flight and during the flight I'm counting my blessings big time. The only thing I can really do is make peace with everything and everyone before boarding and make sure that my will is all up to date and intact. And then I say that if the fucking plane does go down, at least I won't have to pay the IRS anymore, that's how bad those fuckers are.

But belief in either one makes life a little more interesting, doesn't it? Either way you lean on the topics, being open enough to acknowledge that either one be 100% real blows the lid on everything we know as our perceived "reality". Kind of awe-inspiring to think of how things would change if we had tangible irrefutable proof of either Aliens or God. :)

Journey members must certainly believe in aliens. Where do you think they came up with all those extra-terrestrial bug designs on their album covers and stuff?

On a serious note, this is sad news. The best case would be if they had set the plane down somewhere and were waiting to be rescued. I really hope that's the case, but my gut tells me otherwise. There should be a signal, at least from the black box, which makes this really eery, since the plane may never be found and we may never know what happened.

I had a friend who was so gorgeous, smart, very high-powered job, but not too smart when it came to men. She was married to a selfish jerk who had a job where he was responsible for people's lives every day. He believed in aliens and all kinds of stuff, like we bring cancer and other tragedies upon ourselves. One night he came home late and he had scratches all over his back (not inflicted by my friend), and he told her he had been abducted by aliens.

But re the plane disappearing, so so sad. For the families' sake and closure I hope they find the plane and find out what happened.

Not just dudes
Why treat life as a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in an attractive & well-preserved body? Get there by skidding in sideways, a glass of wine in one hand, chocolate in the other, body totally worn out, screaming WOOHOO! What a ride!
