OT: First result of collaboration of G.I. Jim and myself

Postby mriesenb » Tue Jun 09, 2009 7:39 pm

Since there seem to be quite some G.I. Jim fans here and possibly some people who know my work, I thought it would be nice to give you a sneak preview of the first song we worked on for my next solo album.

On vocals you hear the great Phil Vincent. The rest (except the keyboards, obviously) is played by me. The drums and bass will be re-recorded by session players, later this year.

The song is called "The Show".

Enjoy!

Cool, I'm really glad you liked it. It is my first recording of the song (very rough), and I'm re-recording the entire song today. It'll sound much better! Michael is having issues with his MR account now, and asked me to post this clip for him. I think it's a little better clip, but I'll let you be the judge.

I also wanted to say to everyone, that I'm excited about the collaberation. There will be some familiar names/faces on the project once it's finished, and I always like the challenge of working on new material! Hope you hear much more from us in the future. :D

Finally a new version! Jim completed his keyboards and I've started mixing. It's a rough mix, but you might enjoy it nevertheless:
