Your Stuck At Traffic Lights Song

Postby Duncan » Sat Jun 20, 2009 9:29 am

We've all been there.Your out driving. It's a beautiful sunny day, you have the windows down, or if you are lucky enough the top down. You have the stereo blaring, but catch a red light, you glance across to the car in the next lane to check out the girl or guy just as Wake me Up Before you Go Go belts out of your speakers.

So, what is the coolest track to have playing at 150 decibels when your stuck at the lights and glance across to the gorgeous girl or guy in the lane next to you?

I'm going for.........

Lets Get it Up - AC/DC....

what do you mean you'd run the lights?

Slow and Easy

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gW4LQN1Bx1Q

My initial pick was the aforementioned Wake Me up before you go go but Whitesnake will do the job also.

Slow and Easy - inspired choice. I can picture it now. As you looked across to the girl in the next car you would have to be nodding slightly.

Love the Manics. Still pissed that I never got to see them live.

True story - when I first moved to Cardiff, I spent the first month or so staying at the Cardiff Backpackers in Riverside. The owner is ex-Taffia, and because the place has a private bar, isn't subject to licencing hours, so quite often Welsh 'personalities' used to come in for a late night bevy. I was enjoying a nice single malt in the wee small hours one night, chatting to this very nice Welsh chap, very sweet guy, by the name of James. He told me he was in a band and they had just finished recording an album. I said he'd have to let me know where I could pick up a copy. A month or two later, there's James (Dean Bradfield) grinning away at me from the cover of Q magazine, just after 'This Is My Truth Tell Me Yours' hit the shops. I could have died - because I'd spent part of that conversation talking about this band 'The Manic Street Preachers' a friend of mine in London had gotten me into. Met James again a few months later at a party and he laughed like crazy when he saw me. Bastard :D

I personally LOVE listening to Joe Satriana while driving. I haven't done it for years. but this thread just reminded me! I used to drive all the time listening to "Always With Me. Always With You". STELLAR music!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F4fPv450 ... re=related

Also LOVE "Flying In A Blue Dream"!!! :D (Doesn't really start until the 2:00 mark.)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AOsgv_X_ ... re=related

He has some incredible songs, and is an awesome musician! You can't beat his music for driving....

Here, LLL, I got the perfect chick-magnet song for this guy in the Gremlin:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=39YUXIKrOFk

I may end up being sorry I confessed this next little tid-bit, but that is the most requested song for me at the club. Thats THEE song they all want me to dance to.
