How fucking old are you? Grow you stupid little man. Are quite small in height and have a tiny penis? Is this why you need rant and rave at other people to make yourself look bigger?
Dunno who Lori is, so IDK is she's stupid or not, but your comment is certainly uncalled for here as well. Why is it that Dean was called on the carpet for his comments, but these were left standing? Neal is a high school drop-out, whose work we've seen here before. And besides, didn't SP get ragged on for making a comment like "my most faithful fans" or something of that nature. Neal (or whoever wrote it) is a buffoon to think that everyone is gonna suddenly forget all of his crap just because he says 'affectionately'.
Sorry, I just see a
double double-standard here...

No, he was called on the carpet for his remarks about Lori. Andrew said relatives and loved ones of band members are off limits. What double standard? He deleted Voyager's thread re a fictious Steve Perry's blog b/c he thought it was disrespectful.
Regarding this, at what point does someone actively involved in the band's affairs cease to be just a family member and no longer off limits? Lori is running the official website, possibly Neal's PR, and she has credit on the
Revelation CD for 'Additional Art Supervision'.
When Jeremey H. was posting his "revelations" regarding his experience with the band, he cited Lori not only as the source of his "personality conflicts" with the band, but JSS's as well. His posts regarding the latter were later deleted, but several people had time to read them. I don't know who he heard that from or how accurate the source is, but he can certainly attest to his own experience. Given her active involvement in the band's business, I don't think it is out of line to discuss her, though it should be about her actions, decisions, or influence impacting the band.

I had to check your username... you
are the same SherriBerry who makes it her function to bring
me to task for completely accurate and fully substantiated criticisms of Steve Perry, yes? Because it looks like this was an extraordinarily long winded, poor attempt to validate remarks against Lori Carpenter, who doesn't share Perry's history of deceit, egomania, and narcissism.
But I'm genuinely curious, and you don't strike me as unreasonable, so I'll leave it to you to explain the difference between attacks against Lori and attacks against Perry and why only criticisms of Neal Schon's current wife/girlfriend/lover should be allowed.
You have completely missed the point in both of my posts in two different threads - go back and read them again slowly.
I did not take you to task for your specific criticisms of Steve Perry. I took you to task for telling others that it is obnoxious to bring him up in discussions (in which he has no relevance) in order to sing his praises when you are guilty of doing the same thing - only you bring him up unnecessarily to attack his character. Whether your statements were accurate is irrelevant - they had no bearing on the subject. We were discussing Arnel and racial issues and you post to call SP an asshole. If you are unwilling to stay on topic, you have no business calling out others for the same behaviour just because you don't like what they have to say. I did not say that criticisms should not be allowed at all. Which brings me to the next subject.
My post regarding LC was not an attempt to validate Deano's comment, but was written to determine whether her involvement in the band's business negates her status as merely a family member and leaves her actions subject to discussion. If you read it carefully, you would have noticed the last sentence: "Given her active involvement in the band's business, I don't think it is out of line to discuss her,
though it should be about her actions, decisions, or influence impacting the band". In no way does that validate a personal attack on anyone - it actually specifies that any discussion be limited to her actions and therefore, not personal.
You missed several important points and I would advise you in the future to take more care in reading a post thoroughly, so you don't look so foolish. As for your "completely accurate and fully substantiated" criticisms of Perry, it is ridiculous for any of us to think we know enough about any of the band members or events behind the scenes during their history to believe we can speak of absolute truths. All of them, including SP, demonstrated egregious behaviour at times, but none of us can truly know the mitigating factors or motivations behind their actions. SP's "history of deceit, egomania, and narcissism" is your interpretation of the facts as you know them and like all of us, you know very little about the real person.
