I'm glad they took the side of caution with Deen to make sure he would be ok before releasing him. Glad he is fine. :D

Toomie filled in in a pinch. Hopefully, he doesn't have psycho fans that are gonna call him an "official" member.

Deen was out, he OD'd (again). Because he's recovering. :( Or it was Ross. Because he did drugs and booze before.
One or the othter, it HAD to be (and both Deen who changed his hair and Ross look frailer lately). Or Neal. He's a recovering alcoholic. And been divorced before.
HAD to be it though I hope it's not ().

SJ, WE want somebody to have f-d up and neat and pretty answers like you provided don't fit that mold. :P

Call me crazy, but I wouldn't mind if Journey did this track in honor of MJ's passing. As long as we get a clip of it of course.

Neal, you ought to play "Gone Crazy." I seriously wanted to bang my head to this but in a good way--so different but wild, lol!! I don't even know who sang this and it sounded silly at first but wow I really liked it especially the ending. I think it would be terrific if Arnel sang it. Really great chore-doing music.

Is that who that was? Lol. Somebody gave me Generations but I never really read who did what. It ended up on my IPod and that's the 2nd time I've heard it--while working and doing chores--tons of energy there.

Actually, the occasional song to pay tribute isn't a bad idea. Perry did it on a regular basis on both the ROR and FTLOSM tours, so I don't see why Journey can't do something like that occasionally. I'm not saying make it part of the regular set for the tour, but a one-off performance sometimes works rather well. I can pretty much guarantee you that a lot of bands have probably included such a song in their set judging from the wide-ranging influence Michael Jackson had.

Here's one of the replies to Neal's blog:

F**k Steve Perry!!!!
Saturday, June 27, 2009 - 5:11 pm - Jeff_SoCal
Neal, Ross, Jon, Deen and Arnel

I love the lineup and wouldn't want it any other way.
You guys are rocking now more than you did on the last couple of tours with Mr. Perry.
August 1 will be show 16 and I can honestly say I have seen you all more without the Diva than with.
Steve Augeri did an honorable job - but Arnel has brought the band back to a sound and energy that was there in the late 70's.
I wish everyone would respect your decision and enjoy what you are presenting to us.

Rock on!!!!

And Neal whines about the type of posts Andrew allows on this forum?

 So Jeff_SoCal prefers the Rolie sound over Jon's. Or Maybe he just has something against SP?.... And people say loons are obnoxious  .

Nobody will fall for that one again.
Even if the band do announce him as new member.
They caught us out with that lame joke once before.
