The introduction of Cain to the band is when they became balladeers instead of rockers. Borrowing from tunes like "Through the years", no wonder "After all these years" sounds like a country song.

Tell me the band wasn't rocking here. If Neal jammed harder than this at this show in Belgium, I missed it.

Maybe Neal saw my sig? :D

Maybe not, plaid pants? What next, Izod polos? Preppy look does not equal rock.

True, those have got to go!

Those were jeans type cut, and they were fashion forward. Looked great with sneakers, very cool.

Well, coming from a Depeche Mode junkie, we'll allow for your odd fashion taste.

   Touche'

Watch, I predict next year you guys will be in plaid jeans. And you probably loved Perry's high-waisted grass green polyester pants in the 80s. You probably bought a pair.

Where is that picture of Cyndi Poon with the Green jeans and red Nikes getting something signed from Neal (with his Afro and red coveralls)?

How tall are you Jana? You seem to have a *thing* for short guys.

She's 6'2". 8)

Well, I LOOK like I'm five five. That's all that counts.  No thing for short guys.

So, it's purely a platonic relationship between you, Neal and Arnel then?

What, just b/c I'm an Arnel supporter and love his plaid jeans?

Neal is short?

I know this ruins your theory, but I'm a huge supporter of Arnel b/c of his talent and personality. I love his voice. I am actually taller than Arnel, but not by much. So no crush. Theory out the window, GB.

And Neal may be short to you, but not to me. :D

That's why I said platonic.

Seven of AP's site found some reviews from bassist Phil Rind of Sacred Reich and Kal Laterz AKA the K-Man sound tech of Children of Bodom.

Bassist/vocalist Phil Rind of reactivated Arizona thrashers Sacred Reich has issued the following update:

"We're back now from our trip to Europe.

.
.
"Highlights from Bang Your Head!!! fest: Journey! Holy crap, they crushed everyone. Their sound was perfect. Their new singer was incredible. They cranked out hit after hit.

"I got to hang out and have a chat with Neil Schon [Journey guitarist] for about twenty minutes. That was cool as ~. He was telling me stories about touring with Santana when he was 15! Nice guy and amazing guitar player!

I'm a touring sound tech, originally from Seattle, Wa. USA, but now live in Helsinki Finland Currently I'm touring with Children of Bodom. I have been with them for over 3 years and the current album tour should keep us busy till the end of 09 or so.
I have been doing this sound stuff since 91 so I have a few years under my belt

Now on to the Graspop stuff. Because we arrived the evening before playing, we were in time to watch Journey's set :))))))) Janne and I cruised out in to the crowd to watch and it was amazing! Sound was great, the playing was proball, and that singer they have now fucking rulez! We had a great time. Anywho, the next day the show for me was the way it should be. one thing however, Janne's keyboard rack did decided to go on the fritz so the normal panic ensued. He looks at me (sound goes weird, you look at the sound guy) But he and I both quickly figured out it was the rack. So a fury of trouble shooting began for Franky his tech (fuck I felt bad for his ass) When stuff like that wigs out it next to impossible to figure out on the fly. But got thru it all, and the guys still had a great show. And I haven't seen a crowd that crazy in a long time.
