I knew a guy who was looking to get rid of these... gave em to me for $100 each. I think I made out well! They are special, commemorative Epiphone Les Pauls made for the Rock Hall in 2001. I was planning on displaying them and not playing them, but turns out the guy put Gibson hardware (pickups, bridge, tuners) on these bad boys and they actually fuckin sound incredible! I think the one in particular looks incredible... lot of autographs on there too, guys from the Romantics, Don Felder from the Eagles, couple people from War, Eddie Money, and a few others.

They are "limited edition" commemorative things, they probably just put them together a different way is what I'm assuming. I truthfully don't know much more than that, lol. I love the way this one looks... it was a bonus when I plugged in and found out how good they sounded too! I wasn't expecting much of an actual guitar to play... how wrong I was.
