I guess Steve will have to dump his NOMOFRO moniker then, also.

They should have let it go a long time ago, and really, they never should have had it to start with. Its just childish and makes them look kind of stupid. Did they write "Stevie is a big doodie head!" on their Trapper Keepers and write mean things about him on the stall in the boys' john, too? Good god.

You're joking, right? Right?
That would be a pretty dumb thing for them to do, just to produce one reunion DVD. They might ask Arnel to move over for a spell, but this would be nothing lasting. You really think Perry would be up to touring after that and that his voice, at his age could handle the grueling schedule of a tour? Man, if you, do, please take a seat in row 9 of the loon bus. There are a few seats left.  8)

I didn't say PERMANENTLY Steve... I meant for a show/dvd! Arnel would be sitting that one out for sure. I don't see Perry agreeing to it and having to share the stage with Arnel on his big "comeback" dvd... wouldn't make sense.

So can I sit in the front of the bus now fucker?

Yeah, but consider the source. I'm not going to stand here and pretend I'm above such ridicule...but I don't depend on a fan base to put food on my table.

I thought the nomota moniker was funny when I first heard it...but that was when no one knew what it meant. I remember remarking to the person that explained it to me, that as soon as it became public knowledge what Nomota stood for, there would be fans that would not take kindly to it.

Regardless, I think a great number of things would need to be worked out...the least of which is the name of Journey's management company. If the name of the company was the only stumbling block, there'd have been a reunion by now. I really think there's some seriously dysfunctional shit between Neal, Cain and Perry.....the name 'nomota' is just not as significant as the other shit....

Neal needs to work out his napoleonic issues before he can have a truly healthy relationship with a band member...that's not going to happen until Neal boots Arnel and works out the issues on his own....and if he boots out Arnel, people will immediately start publishing photo's like this:

Image

So really, Neal's in a conundrum that isn't going to sort itself out very easily....

I personally think that Steve will never reunite with Journey. I just dont see it happening at all....too much deep seeded bad shite to shovel out of the basement before it happens....and Neal has never been one for cleaning up his own messes (and I'm not sure Steve is either). Friga's no better...

Better not. You know how loons are. And for that matter, Pinheads. I referred to Arnel as the Filipino Karaoke Master and Chubby's water nearly broke. Tread lightly there, '78.

She's alright, she just wants to be part of our little community. Maybe the BAT can put one of those parental locks on the forum when she's around. Once she learns the the other 100+ Journey tunes not included on Revelation she'll fit in a lot better.

You, know, my big point with that was since the guy was giving a good review, that little bit of nonsense was ignored, yet if it had been a negative review (even if justified if the band stunk that night or whatever) Pinheads would have been crying over that description and sending letters to editor.

Tiki Barber started that whole train rolling during the SuperBowl Pre-game show. I was shocked when this guy repeated it. But then again, the reviewer listed BGTY as one of Journey's deep cuts so I should have known better, seeing as he had casual fan status written all over him.

For most, it does wear off, yes. It wore off for me when I saw how far over the top some people take it, and it begar to dawn on me that there was nothing really all that normal about being SO obsessive over something like this. I've already done my time doing that, at age 12. I just don't want to be a part of quite that level of fandom.

He's just a guy, ya know? He's a singer, rock star, whatever you want to call it, and he created things a lot of people enjoy and appreciate - that's where I am with it. I don't really care what shoe size he wears or what his sweat beads look like in some magazine pinup from 1983. I'd kill to see him sing live, and all, but there're a lot of people I'd kill to see perform live so that's not anything that's specific to "loonacy".

I think Gunbot's correct... 1/2 loon at most - I like watching the concerts and stuff, but I'm not so obsessive that I focus every minute of my life on it, hunting down every mention of him on the internet or writing 100 posts about adorable eyebrows. There was time I was a little nutty about it, a few years ago, I admit, but I don't get into that kind of thing anymore, haven't for a long time now.

It took me over a year here before I even realized there were sites devoted solely to Steve Perry. How do you provide updates on a site like that? The Official Amelia Earhart site probably has more info coming in on a regular basis.

What about Steve Smith? How does he fit into the equation?
What will DC think about it?

There goes the whole plan. That's Neil's drummer for life. ( Does anyone know if Arnel has been given life time band member status, as well?)

The answer is you don't post updates. If he does an interview or is mnetioned somewhere, it's a big deal for like a month.

I've been a part of one site as long as I've been a member here - and what eventually happened, with me at least - was I made a couple a real close friends after spending so much time on the site because there was nothing else to really talk about except real life, because the lyric games and talking about the latest "sighting" got old and quite honestly, a little odd, from my POV. So you talk about other stuff and you get to know people.

I mean some people are way more into it than others, and the screen names do come and go as folks lose and gain interest, and that's fine. I still comunicate regularly with a lot of people I met along the way, between that site and this one, and if it weren't for my loon stint, I wouldn't have met so many great people, two of the best friends I could imagine, and had so much fun. So odd they can be sometimes, sites like that do have their benefits. :D Omg, I'm getting misty thinking about friends and fun. *wipe wipe* :D

What will DC think about it?

There goes the whole plan. That's Neil's drummer for life. ( Does anyone know if Arnel has been given life time band member status, as well?)

Point is, Steve Smith will want in this deal just from a business standpoint. A lot of fans will want him in just to complete the classic lineup. However, the band might want DC in for Perry vocal support.

Fans always think Perry. I for one think Smith too. His contributions to the band's legacy are very significant.

Rhiannon and St. John?

Ur funnie.  But yes, they are both fine people and fun to hang with. Maybe one more than the other because she doesn't have gastric issues... but yanno.

But actually, one of the two I meant is a woman I've known for close to 3 years now, and talk to probably 3-5 times a week.
Hell I just talked to her 2 minutes ago.

I'm only joshing you. For the record, St. John is one of the nicest people I've met which makes me think TITO can't be totally bad either since they're buds.
