It is feasible to get together and write and record the new record by the end of the year, but nearly impossible to have on shelves by February. Journey doesn't even have a record deal.

Maybe Herbie is workin on that!

It would be kinda weird if one of the biggest bands around couldn't get a record deal. Whoa, what a trip to think about it!

Coming off of a platinum release like Revelation, I'm sure they wouldn't have any trouble getting one, but they have to go through the act of getting it first, and on top of that, one that would make sense to a band like Journey versus them just going out on tour again and giving it away as part of the ticket (the promoters buy the record)....

Although I think it's impossible, I think they need another song like DSB. I'm so tired of that song, but it's got something that no other song has. There is a driving energy in the piano intro, and such a great message in the song. If they could do something like that again on the next record, I think they would blow the roof off of what has become the underapreciated genre of melodic rock.

I have to agree Rick, I always say I'm sick of DSB, but I will hear the amazing piano intro and I'm swept right back up into that song. It grabs you from the get-go.

Yes, Journey does need another song like DSB, but that was 29 years ago..they've released 6 albums since then. It's hard to say if they have another song like that left in the tank. 'Never Walk Away' was incredible in my opinion, but it never went anywhere.

I'm sure the guys have something up their sleeve because it ain't cheap to hire Kevin Shirley, so I'm sure they're counting on the next CD to at least have as much success as Revelation or better, hopefully.

I personally think they missed the boat not release TTTWT. That song was a million times better than AATY and sure exposes Arnel's talent to the world. That is one of the best Journey songs ever recorded and I just do not understand them not making a bigger deal over it. If I were Neal it would have been played at every concert they did!!

I so agree. Just a beautiful, haunting song with such melody, one of their best ballads, and I loved Arnel's vocals on it. I kept waiting for it to be released as a single, but it never happened.

Probably already been mentioned but the latest issue of Classic Rock has a few words about Journey at Download. They said:

1. That Journey was one of the best received bands of the day (Brilliant)
2. That Arnel sounds like Perry (are you deaf?)
3. That Arnel looks like Perry (are you deaf and blind?)
