So I've had Shine for fucking years....I was always told that it beared little resemblance to old, original tyketto with Danny Vaughn. Regardless, I never got my hands on any of the other stuff....

until this past week....and I got Strength in Numbers and Dont Come Easy.....

and woah...."standing alone" is a fucking KILLER song. Great tune....Holy crap!!!!

I don't often hear a song from the 80s or 90s anymore and feel teleported back in time. I usually get feelings of age, because the song is such a bitter reminder of 20 years past....

....but this song fucking rocketed me back to the early 90s (before that heroin junkie showerless idiot from Seattle started shitting the musical bed).....Holy crap!

I'm not sure who wrote it...whether it was Danny Vaugn or Brook St James or whatever.....but whoever you are, pat yourfuckingself on the back.

Great Tune!

As classic rock magasine said a few issues ago, DV is one of the most underatted singers in classic rock history.

Theres not a bad song on eiher Dont Come Easy or Strength in numbers. However you ought to check out DV's other efforts too.
Fearless, Soldiers and Sailors on Riverside, Traveller, and the two From the Inside albums are absolute must haves.

His solo stuff, not nearly as good as the tyketto stuff(not as melodic). Not until from the inside came out where he went back to his roots. Those 2 cds have some good songs on them.

That's quite an admission - never to have heard Danny Vaughan Tyketto. However, I bet most have a band that has passed us by. For example I have never heard any album by Dokken - don't know why. There always seems something more essential to buy.

LOL. Yes Sir!

I've been a fan of Coverdales for years. Sadly, I'll never do it again. Coverdale's voice was fucking shot...completely....and I felt ripped off.
Granted, I think Judas Priest sucks anus....and I left a few songs into their dismal set.

So really, it was a mistake to go...

I was so turned off by Judas Priest that I couldn't get home quick enough to take a shower. Nothing like gargling some man-jizz before going out on stage to sing "Break The Law" and "You've got another thing comin"

I was shocked to see how many Die Hard Judas Priest fans there are. If the R&R HOF actually went by online petitions , Priest would already be in. They've got almost 20k signatures compared to Alice Cooper's 16k and Journey's 13k.

Doing domestic duties after coming home on the previous night at 3am, since I was out partying with old friends at the revival of a much-loved bar/club from the past (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zmViY7vwK1E), so I got only 4-5 hours sleep. I did manage to drag my ass out to see Transformers yesterday morning, though.

I'd take seeing all the 'ole crew and tossing a few back with them to Priest and 'Snake anyday. The crew certainly isn't at their prime any longer, but it sounds like we faired much better than the bands did.

Danny Vaughn just released a new live cd, "The Road Less Travelled". It has two songs on it written by Fabrizio Grossi & Eric Ragno (Making Waves and Visions). I ordered a copy of "The Road Less Travelled", and "Standing Alone". They arrived last week! 8)

Here's 'Wings': http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SWeaVfufbsI

I wanna know how many takes they had to do before Michael and Brooke finally kept a straight face during the filming of the first scene! Um, I'm sure Jimi had no difficulty.

Damn, I wish it was clearer...

This is a fantastic album. I was at one of the acoustic gigs from which this album was taken. Maybe the best live gig I ve seen in my life, certainly one of the most enjoyable Ive seen in years, and I ve seen a fair few in my time. Definitely get the CD

3) Wait Forever( This actually could be my #1, awesome song.)

and I'd rather listen to Danny's voice than SP's...

I got my copy of "The Road Less Travelled" and it's an awesome live show from Newcastle, UK. I had many friends in the audience that night and wish I could have been there. I am a huge Danny Vaughn fan and have seen him 4 times with Tyketto and 5 times when he and Tony Marshall opened for Journey in 2007! :) I want to go back to the UK again and see him with his band Illegal Eagles who are awesome or one of his solo gigs.

Is the Illegal Eagles band just an Eagles Tribute or is it DV original stuff aswell? They're playing in Liverpool in a few months. I'm tempted to go just to see DV again even though I'm not a fan of the Eagles at all.

Dean, you know there ARE other fucking bands out there BESIDES Bruce! Speaking of which, Bruce is coming to SC...guess who isn't going? :D

Whitesnake is an awesome band, but I do think he needs to retire unless he can get his voice back in shape. He sounds like he has burnt toast for vocals chords now!
