I'm not straining at all, just singing full force with emotion, and I feel that's what the song calls for. But, everyone has an opinion and I don't fault anyone for expressing them.

Those notes I'm hitting are Bs and Cs, high for any tenor to hit in full voice. AND, after listening to it a few hundred times, I don't hear any flat notes, maybe a nuanced one here and there (LOL), but the recording is done without any pro-tools or fancy editing, because I don't have pro-tools and I suck at fancy editing. However, some people hear things differently and it's always good to get feedback, positive and "constructive". ;-), but it doesn't mean anything about the song will change.

I recorded it for fun, had a wonderful time doing it and it's a finished project. It's a song I sang for the first time when I was 16 or 17 years old and it brought the house down. To record it now at 43 and still be able to do it in the original key, is kinda cool. LOL

I'm always nervous to share anything with others, but the overall reaction has been so positive it makes me want to be even better.

I thank you all who have praised me and also those who think it could be a little better.

What'd you think of the David Pack tunes, particularly Brand New Start?

Oh man, I loved 'em!

Thank you!

I had heard that he also recorded one with Ann Wilson, but hadn't heard it either. Awesome.

I don't hear strain or flat notes. You have a good perspective towards criticism, though, by being able to accept some when warranted and to use any towards improvement as well as accepting praise and being motivated by it... so well said. You have an awesome voice...theres just a pure tonality to it...so keep on keepin' on. :)

I just have to say Ehwmatt mentioned David Pack to me and turned me on to a couple of songs and I bought the whole thing! Anyone that doesn't have that album needs to get it ASAP.

It's pretty amazing.

By the way, plays of "Making Love Out Of Nothing At All" have sky rocketed and many folks are loving it. Thank you all who have listened and played it online.

Hey Bobby, it really did sound great! You do get pitchy in a few places, but overall it sounded great! I'm not sure how you record, but if you have the capability of punching in and out... it'll make your life a WHOLE lot simpler than trying to get the entire track perfect on one take. Just a suggestion. Keep up the awesome work man, and keep busting out more tunes for us!!! :D

Thanks Jim and no I don't have the ability to punch in and out. I guess my ears are shot. LOL I still don't hear a great amount of pitchiness, (there's some very MINOR stuff, but nothing that sticks out that's really bad) but I trust your ears. That's why I like recording with a either a producer or at least an engineer, because after a while it's hard to hear anything and an extra set of ears sure helps out. Thanks again!
