He is a genius. Hilarious stuff.

He did a parody a few years ago called Don't Download This Song about the RIAA's draconian legal tactics against music downloaders... a snippet of lyrics:

Weird Al wrote:Oh, you don't wanna mess with the R-I-double-A
They'll sue you if you burn that CD-R
It doesn't matter if you're a grandma or a seven year old girl
They'll treat you like the evil hard-bitten criminal scum you are

I think Weird Al is great. I've always enjoyed his parodies. lol:

This one is dedicated to our delightful neighbors to the north. Beauty!

The song is Weird Al's but someone else actually made the video. Pretty funny though.

I forgot about that one. It's hysterical.  What's even funnier for me is my husband works weekends as a historical interpreter at a heritage museum called Old World Wisconsin. Except for the beard he dressed very similar to this.

My only disappointment with Weird Al has been he hasn't done too many rock/metal parodies. He needs to step outside the oldies, rap, and/or pop parodies. There have been a number of metal tracks that were prime for picking and yet he continues to ignore that genre for his parodies. Hell, he STILL hasn't touched Nickelback, and you can't get a bigger name in rock that is prime for parodies.

Agreed, he chooses more popular tunes. Beat It, Bad, Nirvana, Queen. Haven't see anything recent from him.

Hope he never does DSB, that tune's been thrashed and rehashed enough.

I hear him every time I hear the bands my daughter listened to the past 5-6 years...Fall Out Boy, All American Rejects, etc.

I swear they sound just like him.
