What happened to Margin of victory as a determination of rank? Florida wins by 10, TX wins by 33, and Alabama wins by 28 - but yet Florida still stays as #1? I call bullshit.

Margin of victory should mean SQUAT! I mean, look at the way some teams are coached versus others. For example, some teams (USC, UF, Miami, ect. come to mind) don't have a problem kicking the snot out of "Where Am I" University 72-3. Other schools, which are coached in a more "conservative" style (e.g., Ohio State) virtually NEVER "step on the gas" once they have a team beat. Tressel calls off the dogs early. Just his style. Now, does this mean that TOSU did not deserve to win the National Championship in 2002? Of course not. They simply did a thing called WIN. All of their games, including the one against the so-called "invinceable" Miami Hurricanes!
My point is, the ONLY stat that really matters is the "win/loss" stat and the "strength of schedule".
Just my opinion.

LOL, you are on fire dude.
Can't wait til Notre Dame comes calling for Urban meyer. Don't think he won't listen either. ND can pay him twice as much as UF is. That's who they want right now.

As Coach Meyer has said himself he is on top of the mountain now, no reason to think theres anything better. ND is a dead end job and he knows it. No way he gets the recruits there that he gets at Florida. He has said repeatedly that Florida offers the best facilities, the best recruits and a damn fine paycheck. And Florida could pay more, which they probably will do anyway after this season. They choose to up pay based on accomplishments, not because your name is Urban Meyer, Lou Holtz, Steve Spurrier, etc.
I would be damn surprised if he went anywhere else other than the pros and that wont happen either. I look for Brian Kelly from Cinncinati to end up at ND.

Sure looked to me that they were manhandled. I loved it. I HATE USC with a fucking passion. Stanford can flatout dominate the O line.

That is so absurd i don't even no where to begin. Just because they were arbitrarily placed as PRESEASON #1, and have subsequently not lost this year....is that a good enough reason to not lose the number 1 ranking? Alabama and Texas are undefeated as well - and their only crime is not being a preseason #1.
Please don't make it so easy for me to make you look foolish.![]()
