Burned boy gets a CD from Ozzy

I was reading an update about the 15 yr old who was set on fire by some of his peers over a matter of $40 and a bicycle. This poor kid has to have his dead skin removed daily in the shower, a process that lasts one to 1 1/2 hours. They've nicknamed it Torture Hour.

Gaah.

Ozzy Osbourne sent the kid a CD. From the article: "Heavy metal musician Ozzy Osbourne sent Brewer a CD, and he plays it on a boom box during the showers, she said. "He focuses on Ozzy, and he gets through his torture hour."

I'm always touched when a celebrity reaches out to a kid that has monumental life challenges, like when Journey reached out to Kenny Sykaluk who had Cystic Fibrosis. They don't HAVE to do anything, but the simpliest thing always means the world to the fan.

Very cool Ozzy. Very cool.

I listened to Redlist by JSS every time I went to the personal training session (with the nationally ranked body builder) to rehabilitate my hip. They had given up hope for it and I was to just wait and see how much worse it would get. BULLSCHUTT. so I did it myself. I wasn't waitin to see how crippled I would be.

JSS did all the swearing for me. hurt like jello when I was at the sessions and every minute of everyday til the next. 15+ weeks

So, the point of this rant is that yes, just a cd. It made a HUGE difference for me and I'm sure it will for this young man too.
