Yay, sound-tracks!

I actually don't have a favorite songtrack (I suck at choosing particular ones... blah), as opposed to a favorite songtrack composer... and that award goes to two people: John Williams and Joe Hisaishi.

Lots of great ones listed. I'm partial to VALLEY GIRL. Lots of great tunes, like:

LOVE MY WAY- Psyc. Furs
MILLION MILES AWAY- Plimsouls (GREAT tune!)
MELT WITH YOU- Modern English (the film that made it famous)
I LA LA LOVE YOU- Pat Travers
EYES OF A STRANGER- (cant remember the name, but it was Bob Rock's old band)

Moulin Rouge, definitely.

Absolutely. I've watched that movie like four times. That was in the first year it came out.

Own the movie. Watch it several times a year. Play the soundtrack several times a month. Come What May... daaaayyyyyum!

I remember the first time I watched it. The first twenty minutes I was like, WTH? This is the great movie I've heard about? But I stuck with it and it was brilliant. Then when you go back and watch it again, the beginning first 20 minutes is brilliant, too. I had friends turn it off and I told them, no, stick with it, b/c you will love it. And, sure enough, everyone does.

I have to admit, hearing a mashup of Can Can with Smells Like Teen Spirit made me spew my popcorn. LOVE the Green Fairy. By the time Ewan was singing My Song, I was hooked.

I love love love Ewan McGregor after that movie. He was on Leno the other night and was beyond hysterical. He had the audience eating out of the palm of his hand. One of the best guests he's had in a long time, instead of nonfunny/trying-to be-funny stiff guests.

Actually, I used to listen to that when I was pregnant with my first child. (just so you know it was before kids ) I'd go out walking and I'd have that in my cassette headset I loved that soundtrack and used to listen to Beauty and the Beast and Little Mermaid too

Me too to all three - I think I still have the album soundtrack to Cinderella from the 70s. If I had it on CD...
