W.E.T. = Winger?!?

I ordered W.E.T. shortly after the new Winger CD -- both from Frontiers Records. I went to rip the Winger disc to my computer and was bummed that it didn't considered it an "Unknown Album / Unknown Artist" -- I had to create artwork and add song title info by hand.

So tonight I go to rip W.E.T., and the PC thinks it's Winger! All the Karma artwork and song titles are there for the W.E.T. tracks! I verified this on another PC, so it's not confusion with mine -- it has to be a factory mistake. Any one else find this with their copy?

Wouldn't that be an error with the online data base? I was of the assumption that is where iTunes and other ripping software gets the info.

It could be... I forgot it pulls down online info. I remember my Europe disc also did the "unknown" thing and I had to do the same for it as I did for Karma. Maybe waiting a while might have resolved that. Hmm...

Just rename it to Wet Winger and listen to in anyway




On a side note, the new Winger is ok, although I don't think it sounds like Kip's voice at all. It's like he's dropped a note in his vocal range...

Has to be intentional, as on Blackwood Creek it is his usual brilliant range.

He stays away from most of the screams these days, but he still has a killer voice. I love this album, and it keeps growing on me with repeated listens. The only song I don't care for (aside from the goofy instrumental closer) is "After All This Time". Kip singing over a very generic slow bluesy tune with his heavy Winger growl was a mistake. If anything, he should have sung it in a softer voice, and maybe an octave lower.
