Forgive my naiveté. I just now created a Facebook account & I don't really know what I'm doing. I have only ONE friend so far

but he's a good one. 
Anyway, I don't expect someone to walk me through the process, but if there's a Help Guide or Tutorial or something I can consult, could you point me in the right direction? I'm kinda lost. What's a "Wall"? What's the "Boxes" area used for? Mostly, I'm interested in learning how do I go about finding entities that I don't even know exist. For example, say I'm interested in cars. How do I find other people interested in cars?
(I'm not interested in cars, btw....... I simply used that as an example.) I'm willing to teach myself whatever I need to know if only someone would be so kind as to tell me where to start. Oh, & if anyone out there has a Facebook account & you care enough to "friend" me, I'd really like that. I don't bite.
