This is absurd. I mean, the original was this really great big never-been-done special deal, with the biggest names of the time - probably one of the biggest pop culture events of the decade, and they've just pissed right on it. I mean... Snoop Dogg? REALLY?

No, I know! I mean I have young girls too, and i know lots of this music is overplayed. But so was the music when we were young too. A lot of the music we still discuss here. To the kids, it's not overplayed. Its' their music. And they're doing this for the younger generation, hoping the older one will also buy into it with some of the "classic" things about it. And how do we even know if some of the "originals" were asked and they declined? They may not have wanted to be part of it at all. And if they are going to use all the same old artists, why not just make the old 45 a cd and sell it now I guess

The original is still hard to beat. I had not watched this in awhile, it still amazes me now all that talent in one room.
