I just read this and can't believe it - anyone who has read your posts knows what a nice guy you are Jim and you have never come across as the slightest bit conceited! Whoever sent you a nasty message isn't worth a second thought. If he had an opinion of any value he would have at least signed his name and if he took issue with something on MR, he should have PM'd you on MR. It's a site for music lovers - we want to hear what people are working on and if that tool doesn't, he can skip your posts!

I had a similar thing a few weeks ago from Youtube Jim. The poster was obviously a fan/friend of our new bass player and basically threw crap at me (the lead singer in the band for the last 11 years) because the bass player was not singing all the songs in our shows and the video. I think 'ego problem' was tossed around, etc. The person, like yours, created the account JUST to throw the sh*t at me.

Thanks for all the input everyone. I'm not worried about this or anything, but I just wanted to know who it was. Like I said, I really think it's someone here who claims to be a friend. I could be wrong, but that's my gut feeling. After re-reading it, I also believe that it IS a male. Either way, it doesn't matter.

As far as criticism goes, I welcome all criticism. I like to hear honest opinions and constructive criticism. That's how I learn how to improve. Hearing "you suck, and your band's going nowhere!" doesn't help anyone.

About those 80's sounds... I WILL be toning them down slightly in the final recordings. My song "Eye Of The Storm" will probably be heavy with organs instead of Synths... Wait... I've already said too much! :shock:

The details on the final recordings will remain a secret until we're ready to show them off. Once we get them ready, I'll be pulling all of the old versions off of myspace, and just posting 30-45 second clips. There will be some changes and a couple of nice surprises. Make sure you check them out Billy!

Seriously, I rather appreciate people who are up front and blunt. Now, I don't know you personally, but from my experience with ignorant people and given the fact that I am older and less tolerant of ignorance, my suggestion is to ignore. That's it. When you step into someone else's negativity you only go along with it. Just let it go for now unless of course there is stalking, calling, etc. More than likely this person just wants to start shit. After much more partying, my wife, sister-in-law, and her friend decided to strip down to bra and panties and make snow angels in the back yard. Guess who got to be the camera man??? :shock:

It was one of the best nights I've ever had, and I can officially say I've been to Cougar town! :lol:

They also got me to jam out on her piano, and I busted out some Journey, Toto and Van Halen! Very, very cool night. :wink:
