Jeremy Abbott skating to Jeff Beck's cover of A Day in the Life the other night was way cool. Skating was not his best, unfortunately, but the music choice was outstanding.

Weird sport, but whatever.

LOL... NBC is apologizing for Shaun's (private) conversation with his coach before his "victory run".

PUH-lease.

http://sports.yahoo.com/olympics/vancou ... oly,220425

If NBC had just shut up and let it go, no one would be saying shit. Probably no one noticed. I sure didn't.
They called attention to it now, so of course people are now aware.

Women's downhill skiing was really something...never saw so many painful looking crashes...even the Sweden girl with several past medals wiped out right at the end, sliding over the finish line face down. Can't believe the 3 girls that crashed going 70 m.p.h. got up and walked away! Lindsey Vonn, the winner, got the first Gold ever for the U.S. in this event...even with her painful leg injury. Gonna be seeing a lot of her in the media...she looks like a model.

I love Vonn. Beautiful all Ameican lady. Props to her for playing hurt and dominating.

However, if you're a fan of hers, don't watch tonight.

uh, oh - what happened? I always wait to watch at night...is she withdrawing from the other races? She kept saying she got what she wanted - the gold for downhill...maybe, her leg is burning with too much pain from the bumpy track.

Agreed - that Plushenko is an amazing skater but a cocky little creep - your USA boy Evan just had a fantastic skate, hope he wins ('cause our Canadian is not likely to even medal :( )

And sorry, but I can't stand Johnny Weird either.

Plushenko is good but I do not like his attitude. Bad sport.

BJG, ordinarily I would comment for the entire Board, but I know you like hockey. Did you watch Canada vs Switzerland? That was epic. Sidney Crosby has the entire country of Canada on his shoulders, and he carries the weight so well with so much moxie and class. Hiller(Ducks), was amazing. He stood on his head, and frustrated Canada. Oh I forgot to say, Canada won in a shootout 3-2. They only got 2 points owever, as if you need OT or a shootout to win, you only get 2, versus 3 for a regulation win. USA has 6 points in 2 games and Canada 5. They meet Sunday. Should be epic.

Just wanted to say your boy Toews is excellent, even if he got stoned in the shootout by Hiller. I know Treetop is proud of her Duck players.
