While I agree that SOME of the songs are fluffy, I was struck by the lyrics that the guy who posted Spaceman put in the comments section of his subscription area. He posted, "walked off a cliff, and I closed my eyes..." I love that. Is that dumb? I love the lyrics off of Daydream, too. "Shining in the silver moon, crystal ships are sailing to the seaaaaaa eeeee eeeee eeeeee eeeeeeeeeee" lol. I love that BIG TIME. There are many others, too. What do you all really think? I wish I could write stuff like that.

Journey is the "summer blockbuster popcorn flick" of Rock (that title probably fits Bon Jovi better). Turn off your brain and you'll enjoy it.

Journey music is more about the hooks and melodies rather actual lyrical content. That's why the idea of a concept album album is just so foreign when you think of Journey music.

No? You can hear biblical references in Rubicon and One More..You can hear God in Faith in the Heartland, and religious overtones in Better Life.

Well, that's stretching it a bit. Sure, it's partially a religious concept, but it's also pretty much a part of secular western society now as well. And most love songs are about monogamous relationships, really.
