See, I disagree here. Public perception guided his "apology." Had Smith not become so accomplished and renowned after the fact, making the Nostrildamus decision look so stupid, he would have never admitted he was wrong. He basically admitted he was wrong because he had to ... not because he wanted to or thought so.

Funny how not one person speaks highly of their time in the band with this dude as a person. Speaks volumes. Herbert, Rolie, Cain, Valory, Smith and Schon all think Nostrildamus is a douche.

His female fanbase seem to know exactly what "Stevie" thinks.

I think they are more credible than people who actually worked with him. :DDDDDD

Who the fuck cares if SP was a walking big menopause, they created awesome music with some damn good musicians (Rollie, Neal, SP and Smith) and they're still creating OK music.

I'm serious; some of you just got to get over the shit that happened twenty years ago!

Point taken

And I left out "the bass player" cause he sucks balls. There's a big difference in being a musician and just someone who can slap some bass and make funny faces.

Well, I can't help it that you've overestimated what the role of a bass player is. Ross does what he's supposed to do.

You need to throw in Escape, Frontiers or any of the pre-Perry albums. Dude could play ... and quite well.

Dude, not really. He was almost fired a few times. You need to get Neal alone and drunk and ask him about Ross. It ain't all glowing.

Was Ross in the Steve Miller Band the same time that Boz Scaggs was? They were a a heavy blues band at that time, Valory had to have had some skills back then.

My dear little French Flim Flam man ...you really need to do your research, listen to Pre-Perry and early Perry and if you still can't hear
the beauty that is Valory ...have one of your classmates check your ears!!!

I voted for #4. Deen's a gonner. If for no other reason than Perry seems to be all about "feel". I believe I read in one of the interviews with HH that Perry was a little unsure of Aynsey Dunbar because he lacked certain credentials (no r&b background or some such thing). Then he canned Smith & Valory and hired a rhythm section that was more to his liking for RoR.

Deen is a metal drummer & even he admits he tends to go a little wild sometimes. Being the noted perfectionist that he is, I don't think Perry would bat an eyelash in canning Deen if he got out of line even once.
