Uncle Irving will take care of this. This organization is extremely loyal to the members that do their job and remain in good standing, and he certainly falls under that category. Quit worrying.

Dude, stop. LOL. Your humour slays me! Please Father, please stop it already.

Not a tatoo guy at all. However, the Yin/Yan is cool. I checked that Arnel site for the photos. Those Arnel emoticons are funny.
NO. He's NOT Steve F'ing Perry. But he's Arnel F'ing Pineda and I'm okay with that.

Those seeing it live had crowd noise to mask the (flat) high notes.
Those seing it on TV here in the Philippines, with Arnel's mic feed
undiminished by crowd noise, heard it for what it was. Its easy to
find on the 'net, for a critical listen. (So is the law on the matter:
no matter how boneheaded it is.)

I thought last line sung was pretty bad, but (shrug) no biggie.
He looked like he didn't have monitors to help him.

I've never shied from praising Arnel for his merits, even against a
chorus of racists, and I'm not going to blind myself to his errors
or try to overplay the victim card for him. Being hater or fanatic
is ultimately a disservice to Arnel.... and is wankery.

Spot-on manual caricature work (by a Japanese lady), and reverent graphic conversion.

LOL, I agree. If that's the way the way the broadcast played out in the P.I., it's a shame and was misrepresentative of the performance. It's like isolating a vocal track from a song, kinda (and we've all heard some wild ones). You basically had a vocal performer who had no monitors (this is correct), and who unfortunately was unable to get to the soundcheck that day. I was very near the stadium at the time and actually offered to do it for them (true, LOL), but luckily it got handled by someone who knew that song. The video I posted was very representative of how we heard it -- we could barely hear the last note due to the crowd cheers (a ROAR), so I'm pretty sure he couldn't either. It's the only slightly bum note in the whole song, and is pretty self-explanatory.

Again, sorry if anyone in the P.I saw a more isolated vocal and wants to criticize too harshly based on that, but I think if they had been there their reaction would most likely have been the same as ours.

It's a legal non-issue.
NHI just wants artists to stop fucking around too much with the national anthem,
and is just making noise to let other artists know it.

Fact remains, Arnel bombed on the anthem, because he treated it as a chance to
showboat, more than as an honor and patriotic privilege; and because his voice
just wasn't up to the task that HE (not the anthem) set out for it.

Do you know,per Wiki that...

R.A. 8491 specifies that Lupang Hinirang "shall be in accordance with the musical arrangement and composition of Julian Felipe." However, when literally followed, this means that the national anthem should only be performed by a pianist or by a brass band, as these were the only versions that were produced by Julian Felipe.

Fucking too much with national anthem and just making noise? Are you kidding me? Why don't they make noise all the time and not only during high profile events? How about starting with the elected officials and require them to sing the national anthem with "fervor". Then imposed it on everyone and not a selected few. What are they going to do with people singing the laziest version and people who are out of tune from start to finish.

Jail?...What's up with jumping the gun? Rest assured that the issue's been rendered moot and academic.

I was being sarcastic. I an all honesty, I love Arnel's rendition of the national anthem. 8)

Maybe NHI wants a free ticket to the next Pacquiao fight so they can properly monitor the singing of national anthem.

I think it's the opposite, our loyalty is actually giving him inspiration and the desire to strive harder. I learned that Arnel makes sure that he's aware of what's going on around him. For me, the most important is he keeps himself grounded and that I respect. 8)
