Ironically, the #1 song on my birthday (May 21, 1980) was my call tone for awhile - Blondie's "Call Me" - I've since changed call tones but at the time I had no idea this had any link to my birthday....maybe I'll go back to it now :)

Hmm, middle of May '72:

Australia - Nilsson "Without You"
USA - Roberta Flack "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face"
UK - T Rex "Metal Guru"

And I can't stand any of them.
Why treat life as a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in an attractive & well-preserved body? Get there by skidding in sideways, a glass of wine in one hand, chocolate in the other, body totally worn out, screaming WOOHOO! What a ride!

Perhaps her best song. My softball team has a little fist slamming ditty we do on the bar to that song. Scares the shit of the customers that don't know it's coming. Not a big Cher fan, but I think that song was ahead of its time. Kind of has a risque vibe to it and it's an excelllent vocal.
