Steve Jobs is revealing new updates that will come with the OS 4.0 ,,,, This is few of what they have showed so far:

1. MULTITASKING,,,,, open an app and double click home to go home and open another app , while original app runs in background,,, so you can run Pandora Radio, while surfing the web,,, or use Skype to talk to Kumme and surf the Safari at the same time !

2.ARRANGE APPS..... with foler options,,,now you can create folders and organize your homescreen......

3.WALLPAPER,,,, Option to have a pic as wallpaper ,,,

4.Enhanced Email,,,,Unified Inbox,, get all your emails from different email accounts in one place,,,

5.iBook support,,,,, much like iPad,,, you can buy books and read them on iPhone...

I'll look for one if this phone is ever available through other carriers and not just AT&T   Though I love my Crackberry too, so would be a tough decision

the update will be available for iPod touch and iPad.
Steve Jobs said NO to flash and he is firm on that decision.

They showed how this ad thingy works and it aint as bad as you may think,,,, its within app ads , but when you click on them, they wont leave the app, they just keep you in the app while give you the option to x out of the ad any time you wish....Just one way to promote those who make free or $.99 apps....

Here is the FULL keynote... Check it out,, I think the Multitasking and Folders are the highlights!

My Blackberry has Wi-Fi, which is great, but what's the difference between Wi-Fi and 3G? I don't know these things

I haven't enjoyed my 3Gs long enough to kill it's performance the way the 3.0 software did to my 1st gen iPhone. Making people want to throw their current phone out the window is definitely a strategy for future sales.

With wifi you're connecting to a wireless Internet hotspot somewhere nearby, like you would connect to wireless Internet at home or at a coffee shop or airport. 3G (3rd Generation) is basically your cell phone reception, to put it simply. On your blackberry you might see EDGE next to your reception bars, that's showing that you've got 3G reception. 3G is mobile, you can use it anywhere you get reception for it, but with wifi you're limited to the area of the hotspot you're connected to.

I think generally wifi uses less battery life and is considered better for browsing etc. but obviously 3G is more convenient since you don't always have access to free wifi.
