The whole idea seems to have run out of steam somewhere. I wonder if it was budget?
You'd think maybe Journey / Azoff music management might want to subsidize this.

Time has come and passed. I'd say "it's dead Jim".

Maybe they have told it so much that no one cares anymore????

it would not surprise me if they inserted this DVD with the new CD that comes out later this fall Or whenever... to make sure the new music actually gets sold...

Or pack it on the Blu-Ray release of the Manila show.

I'd be ok with this if it meant getting the Manila DVD on Blu Ray. I don't really need any more coasters, but I'd find a use for it.

I want to see it. It follows the band and you see behind the scenes of the tour, and I'm fascinated to see how Arnel was taking it all in on his first tour.

THE FANS WILL EAT The history of the band... thats why to me its a no brainer to wait until the new CD gets out...
its too bad they did not do this with journey live 2001 and ARRIVAL... back 9-10 years ago.,,would have been ground breaking.
not many bands were doing that yet.
Hi everyone - first, let us apologize that we have not reached out in so long!!!!! Sincerely sorry.
As most of you know this film is unfunded and we have always done it on our own credit cards and with the help of losta of great crew members that agreed to work now and get paid later. So money has always been the hold up with the film.
After we were on Oprah things started to happen. We are beginning to edit and still plan on finishing this year. What usually happens is the film gets finished, enter it into some film festivals then hopefully a distributor picks it up that will bring it to a theater near you in the US and internationally. Then of course you could buy a dvd after the theatrical release. That is the process we are looking to happen with this film.
We still have a long way to go, but we have gone through all the footage and we think we have a great film and we are so excited.
Thank you for your emails and questions and support and we promise to keep you updated!!!!
Sincerely,
Capella & Ramona
Producer & Director
Everymans Journey

This doc isn't about the history of the band before Pineda's inclusion. It is centered around Arnel's back story, and then from the time Neal called him until the end of 2008 tour.
Rock documentaries are pouring out of the woodwork over the last year. It's like everyone got the idea at the same time.
Gunbot wrote:You know who's story has got out there, especially among the women? Charice. Almost all the ladies in my office knows of her from Oprah and can tell you her whole back story. The girl has already had one Hot 100 song and a top 40 dance track (and this has happened without her album even being released yet). She is really destined to to be the next big ASIAN SENSATION if David Foster promotes her right.
steveo777 wrote:I think a documentary about Journey is a great idea, but the more I think about it, it should cover the entire history of the band within about 2 hours. The documentary that was to be mainly about Arnel may have worked out ok in a different period of time but surely this story has been told so much now that the film will not have as much impact today as it might have 2 years ago.
Gunbot wrote:Things have come full circle, haven't they? The loons were told time and again that the band wasn't just about the vocalist, yet here we are focusing only on Arnel, with the rest of the band taking a backseat. The disparity between the two singers in relationship to contributions to the group is obviously immense. I understand the band letting Pineda have his moment in the sun but how many times can you tell the same old sob story?

This thing might still be on. They have a 2011 date posted now at Visit films and a slightly different trailer.

I didn't see it on Cannes screening list. I'll check it again in a few days. Must still need a distributor if it's been pushed until 2011.
