Smoking grass does not even give you the same kind of high as meth and I don't buy that weed is a gateway drug. The guy may have become a meth addict because he tried and liked meth, not because of weed. I'm sure a few people who tried and became addicted to heroin also used to smoke weed. It's not the weed's fault that the stupid fucks decided to try heroin.
Sure meth is re
adily available everywhere. The dude I was talking with just so happened to be from the Philippines and I was pretty surprised when he told me that meth use in the Philippines is high. I guess I've been away for so long because back when I was in the Philippines, most everyone was just happy getting something to eat. And meth may not give the same high as weed, but, like everything else in the world, people always either build up tolerances and need more to get the same high, or 9 times out of 10 they decide to just move on to the next level of drugs. People are just not happy with what they have and constantly need more, regardless of what it is: money, power, pussy, land, etc. Most pot heads who have abused pot long term are notorious for not wanting to abide by the common rules and law and get highly pissed off whenever law enforcement instructs them on what to do. Simply, drug use has no place in a competent and intelligent civilization. Losers take drugs....
period! If someone is taking drugs and wants to become a winner, they stop...plain and simple.

Well these are the extremely lucky ones so don't fool yourself because they are far and few between. What about their health? I'll bet at least 90% of your life long pot heads have serious health issues of some kind when they enter into their 50's and beyond. I bet alot of them are wearing disposable diapers because they either can't hold it and control it or they can't wipe their own asses. You say people in their 50's and 60's who remained productive people. So what's the number of people who did drugs and were not productive people? We only hear about the successful ones and for some odd reason don't even think about or consider the number of failures.
Sort of like musicians, we only hear about the ones that succeed, but never about the drillion who failed. Like we hear that famous "never give up" quote, well try telling that to all the hundreds of thousands of people who never gave up on their dreams but became poor and homeless anyways. They are out there, I see them out on the streets almost every day when I go up to San Francisco, even as far away as Tokyo, Japan.
I've never eaten a piece of sushi I didn't thoroughly enjoy.
