Jamison ALWAYS does that one. Part of his "dirty dozen". Some things may vary, but he'll always do that one, Burning Heart, High on You, Search is Over, Eye of the Tiger (even though he didn't sing that one originally), and the Baywatch theme I'm Always Here he did solo. Rest may vary, but you are pretty much guaranteed to get those.
maybe we could put in a vote for a Bickler/Jamison/Peterik set for MRF3. That would a something to see.

What if this were a major site for updates, information, interviews, articles, history, video/concert clips (instead of YouTube) and such for artists like those, so that when people go online and do a Google search for whichever artist, MR comes up on the first page? Kind of like RollingStone's online version (only not pushing bs like RS) for the classic and current melodic rock scene.
Actually I read that when people do a search, they often don't click beyond the first page. Who knows how to get MR positioned so that when people Google bands on here, MR comes up higher in the listings?

Though nothing you said is inaccurate, the problem with that approach is that the great majority of those bands will be gone within 5 years. I'd also argue that this site already gives us plenty of news regarding those bands. It's not like Andrew doesn't post Foreigner tour dates or review a new record by one of said bands when they come out.

To be honest, Bands like Bon Jovi use Facebook for breaking news and exclusive videos. Jon is very active on it and is always encouraging fan participation for this and that. If more bands follow his lead, that is going to be some hard competition for the MR frontpage. As soon as I open FB in the morning, my news feed already has a lot of the happenings from last night's concert with Foreigner, Bon Jovi, Meat Loaf's latest videos, etc. You really can't beat that.

don't turn this around smart ass. It's nit about paying to have privilages. It's about all the people who enjoy this place , supporting this place with some $$ instead of just post counts
as far as paying members , I think a $100 lifetime membership to this place is fair and it'll weed out all the susies and jasond's

I'm not turning it around. How many people post there (I'm talking post, not lurk)? Three dozen, four dozen tops? I'm being realistic about this. You obviously can't go by the member count, how many of them are active? I'm saying the place can start fresh by culling the the member's list and then Andrew can see what he actually has here as far as active accounts and decide how much to charge based on how many people here are really participating in the site.

I agree. This "weeding out" and "culling" process will likely have quite the opposite outcome than you intend, B. Just from reading here lately, I'm not sure that there are 3-4 dozen regular posters. My guess is, by choking off what few posters there are left, the site will be left with just a handful of core (hardcore) posters...and my second guess is the bull-jive threads will actually increase, since there would really be no one else around, anyway. That's just my .06 cents worth (adjusted for inflation).

What about advertising sale merchandise within the forum somewhere, as kinda a visual reminder of what you have to offer? Pop an ad into some of the most interesting threads from time to time. Entice the masses, so to speak. IDK. Just a thought. I LOVE my MR t-shirt!
LOL, I'm officially changing that saying to Donna Downer.![]()
