Download sharepod. It's may more flexible than itunes. so eg. you can install it on 2 pc's and use sharepod to manage your ipod. With itunes, one pc is always the master, which gives issues sometimes.

Google for it. It does use itunes, but it's enough to simply have itunes installed.

I have a question too- how do you program itunes so that you can have 2 different ipods on there with their own stuff instead of both ipods having to share ALL the same stuff unless you go through and uncheck all the things you don't want on one from the other? Does that make sense?

In this case, I set up different user accounts on the computer, and that keeps everything neatly separated.

Transmanager is another great program. The free version is adequate enough for getting music and videos on your device very quickly. It's a standalone so you don't have to do an install, just run the exe. file.
